  • Help with Inviting people

Ok i have looked everywhere on this site and others, and cannot find my answer.

My question is, is there a way or command that will allow you to Invite someone to you pary without having to go to the menu and search area..............cause when i am in jueno the list stops at the M's or N's depending on if its a busy day or not. Most of my Friends are at the end of the alphabet so i can never find them.

Can i just type something like /invite <Playername> or something like that??

Also when i am in a City or area with alot of players in it how to i get to the second half of the search. It always says "there are 200+ ppl in this area" but then says the list has been truncated (Spelling???) and only shows some of the players.

          Re: Help with Inviting people

You can also search for them by /sea all and the first three letters of their name and then invite them that way.

            /search invite ##-##
            /sea inv region ##-##
            /sea inv all ##-##
(##-## is the level range. Like "30-33".)

That'll help if you're trying to just see people seeking. If you're just trying to see what all is in the zone...I can't help you there much.

            /sea m
            /sea n
            /sea o
            etc...
            Generic Info!

Yeah, same here. I very rarely just search the entire zone for whomever.

Either I /sea all inv xx-xx or /sea all first three letters of someone's name.

                  /sea all xx-xx job

That's what I do. Then just change which job i'm looking for. I only burn these days, and setting up TP/Bones/MP burn parties are a little easier that way, IMO

                    Re: Help with Inviting people

Although sometimes it takes like a minute for the /sea to show a player's name after they just logged in (for ocasions when someone DC'd), so if /pcmd add works right away it might work better in those cases.

I've neved used /pcmd add though so I dunno if it works like that .

Don't you have to be in the same zone for /pcmd add to work?

other than that, I always do /sea all

/pcmd add does work, not sure if its same zone or not.. but I use it when I do my tele services in Jeuno.

Not the same zone, but the same region. You get invite errors and greyed out invite buttons if the person isn't in the same region as you when you search for them or use the command line to attempt an invite.

In addition to /pcmd add to add players (especially useful if the servers are slow and not updating their region status, or if the search function ends up disabled, which has been known to happen from time to time).

There's also /acmd add, which invites the leader of another party to join your alliance. This command only works when the other person is in the same zone as you are (unlike /pcmd, which can be used on any player in the same region).
