Hi,

I bought a secong hand copy of this game for XBOX360 not relising the registration codes wont work.

Can I do anything with this or is it worthless?

You could use it as coasters or potato cutters... Or play a dangerous version of frisbee with the second hand copy.

You could try to get your money back or chalk it up to one of life's experiences. I hope the person you bought it off of will give your money back. They either didn't realize it wouldn't work or knew it wouldn't work and looked for someone who didn't look anything up about the game first.

It's not worthless per se, but you can't play the game with it.

Nothing you can do about it. Buying second hand copies of games that require registration codes that can be deactivated for various reasons is always a bad, bad idea (In this case, it could be anything from non-payment to outright banning).

If the person who sold you the game deleted all his/her characters and cancelled his account you could ask for the ID and password (since the registration codes are now linked to that ID), so it isn't a character sale.

Well, it is also useful if you have the PS2 or PC version already. You can use the same account cross-platform.

I would say just buy another copy which you KNOW is brand new. This happened to a friend of mine like last week. She was so impatient to play that we ended up asking some guy on ebay if we could buy just the codes off of the ffxi pack he was selling. He sent us the codes an hour later right after the auction ended. He also sent the game anyway.

Then again, doing that she could of easily found herself in the same situation with the codes not working. I say just go and buy a whole new game. If you can, try and get your money back but probably won't be able to.

Doesnt SE give you a reg. code or something if you can prove that you bought it? It might be under a different circumstance, but I swear something like that was going on.

Not as far as I know. I've read posts by several people who have lost passwords or IDs and have had to provide credit card numbers, addresses, etc.

If your friend is trusting enough to give you all of his personal information, you may have a shot.
