how to disable message from the window ...... ??

if there is another party near you, their battle message will also be shown on our message window (and the battle sound effect ><'). Can we disable it? i mean just show our party message ONLY, is it possible?? if yes, how to do it??

Chat Filters are in the in-game config. I think they are also detailed in the manual, but I'm not sure.

Config > Chat Filters. Turn on the filters for Special actions started on/by others, Damage taken by others, and everything inbetween.

if i do it, does it also cancel all message from the monster that I am fighting??
cos the system may count the mob is 'other'.

mine doesnt work, i have almost all filters on, cause honestly i hate useless spam, sad part is i still see other players status effects, what mob they killed, an there spell animation. kinda frustrating.

That happened to me when I was in Caitsith. My filters were ON, yet I still saw the unwanted texts. It was annoying. I since then switched to Diabolos, for other reasons, and they work fine now. It was weird.

Same thing was happening to me. I just said screw it and now have been dealing with it for the past year. I also found out that by having an avatar, to see its animation, you have to turn the effects on to show "Others" stuff..hence showing other players stuff (And if it was turned off before and I didn't notice it, it's definately on now) and the avatars..Kinda ridiculous if you ask me, then need to make the chat filters/effects more detailed like they did a year ago or so whenever they enhanced it before.

the effects are to general. i like to see what i do for damage during certain events. then again when i do this, i also get the unwanted text of my pets attacking a mob. sometimes it gets so annoying i have to turn off both my atks, an the mob atks. then i have no clue what damage im doing, thus i tend to take to much damage as a bst/nin.

i dont want to be in the tree, an here all these peoples spells going off, i just want mine. but if i turn off other peoples effects, i have to turn mine off as well. an why can i not eliminate jackiechan is paralyzed, an that jackiechan has killed so so. its still annoying.
