I assumed that if the game didn't have those call files, bad things would happen, so what I did was go through the calls, figured out which ones were annoying to me, and moved them to a new folder. Then I took non-annoying ones, copied them, renamed them to the ones I moved... and it's all good. No more annoying calls.
There still are calls, but some of them I just really hated. A couple times through updates or what not, the sound files got replaced with originals, so then I made another folder with the ones I renamed, so next time they get replaced... I can fix them again really quick.
Still, this doesn't solve the problem when people use *too* many calls, but one of the calls is really really quiet, and if you want to kinda get rid of all calls and don't know how to get a blank sound file, don't care to get one, or whatever, you can just copy that file on and rename it to get rid of all the others.
