How do you get those sweet pics?

I feel kinda stupid asking this cause I’ve been playing FFXI for about 9 months now, but..
How the hell are you all getting these high, quality in game photos?!?

The only pics I’m able to take are like half the size of the actual game, and no text can be up when I snap the photo.
Are you using some sort of out of the game software, or can you customize your photo options to take pics like that?
<Please> <Help me out!>
I send a lot of pics to friends while I’m adventuring, so I’d love to know how to do it.

You can either use a 3rd-party screenshot app like fraps, or hit Print Screen, shut FFXI down, and Paste into an image editor. Print Screen copies the current display in its entirety onto the clipboard.

Atleast it seems to lag my game even when idle.. no clue.

Well fraps works fine for me, but I guess there is no harm in trying clipper!

I was going to say that I've never had a problem with Fraps making me lag. But it's been so long since I ran FFXI without Fraps running, I don't know. Now I'll have to try it out and see if I speed up at all. If so, I'ma be pissed, having paid for Fraps' full version already.

I used fraps till I got that link for clipper lol. Trial version of fraps only saves .bmp and I end up with almost a GB of pictures cluttered up in the SS folder Clippers free ver. saves .jpg

I use Fraps full version, and save as .png. Still takes up loads of space, but it's lossless compression.

I've used Clipper for as long as I've been playing FFXI. If I paid for the full version of FRAPS I could see using that instead, but I didn't, so I dont!

Clipper is pretty cool though.
