The .Hack series is nothing like this game, MMORPGs are a real unique breed of their own, the experience can vary widely with the people you meet.

try more like 6+ months... and you'd have to be EXTREMELY lucky to hit max level in that time on your first go around

        Thanks Yyg!

Lol, in 2 days you'll barelly get like lv. 10 on your first character you've ever played. Traveling in the world you can expect some routes to take you up to 30 min. or more to reach.

Most people that get upto 50+ usually have a playtime of like 30days+ (playtime is the combined total of time they've been playing the game every few hours a day).

          30 days+ in a span of over a year or 6 months.

Then not to mention all the end game stuff and hit max level for only 1 job when you got like 20 others, ton in the game no way you'll get it all done in a short time.

Re: is this game worth buying

I've been playing for almost four years now, and I just hit level 68 the other day.

Granted, that's a lot slower than most people. But this game lasts. Don't worry one bit about that.

Re: is this game worth buying

Yep this game is worth it when you've got nothing else to do with your precious spare time.

This game is much like real life; you have a job or a role and you gots to play it well, but the rewards aren't in the form of gil (money)...There are other aspects to this game like taking up skills and trades to support your own business ventures. Basically you and everybody else becomes an entrepreneur.

I've learnt a lot about economics, marketing, and communications just playing this game. I've also learned about business planning, investing, research, and how to manipulate markets lol. Go figure, from a video game no less.

Just as the other posts stated, this game will definitely take more than 2 days to even get anywhere far. As an example, it took me a week to level 3 jobs to 20.

I'm now at level 54 with my main and that has taken me about 6 months and a few million gil raised just so I can be the best equiped and best prepared at my level.

To the OP, just so you understand what you're getting yourself into, this is a game that is not like the rest of the FF series: It's much, much more. There's missions, quests, and other aspects to this game like no other. And if you feel you have done just bout everything, guess what? there's always something new to do or there may be something you always wanted to try.

Hope you join the great and vast virtual living and breathing world of Vanadiel with the rest of us addicts.

Take care and maybe if you come to the server I'm on hit me with a /tell and I'd be more than happy to help you out the best I can.

Heyas, I am new aswell. This site is pretty good for info and the community here seems far more mature than a few other sites. One thing I might suggest is getting a keyboard for your 360. I ran into a new player last night, upon inquiring what he was playing on I found out he was on a 360 too, but was typing using the controller and some onscreen keyboard. His main complaint was he could only send off a "hi" and the person would take off before he could send his next message. I don't have a 360 but from what I've seen you can use pretty much any usb keyboard and I belive the logitech wireless works aswell. Any vets with a 360 should chime in.
