They are two areas you get to by completing missions.

Completing Zilart Missions to ZM13 (the first expansion pack) leads to the region Tu'lia, commonly known as sky because it above the rest of Vana'diel.

Completing CoP missions to Chapter 8 (second expansion) lead to Al'Taleu (sp), commonly known as sea, because it is kinda wet there...

Both of these areas can only be accessed by high level (65+) characters. You can start PMs much earlier, but you won't get all the way to sea access until high levels.

Tu'Lia (sky) includes Ru'Aun Gardens, Ve'Lugannon Palace, The Shrine of Ru'Avitau and La'Loff Amphitheater.

Lumoria (sea) includes Al'Taieu, Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi, The Garden of Ru'Hmet and Empyreal Paradox. Entrances to Limbus are also located there.

Sky and sea both have many unique HNMs. Sea also has normal monsters not found anywhere else (sky's normal monsters are mostly weapons, dolls, pots, golems and elementals which can be found in several places.)

There is not - yet - any high-level area that requires Aht Urhgan missions to access, but it's possible that one will be added in future patches that extend the TAU storyline.

Also Tulia became SEA in the JP onry days because SE STILL has not pu tin Tulia as a zone name in the translator. So when the NA came to Vana'diel. JP didnt try to say Tu'lia they just said Sky to make shouts easier.

So Sky stuck and SEA(along with NA/Euro) was kinda an obvious evolution.

Somewhat false...

The areas can be accessed at whatever level you do the missions at.

While these typically do require 65+, skilled players and leeches can get through sooner.

Sea is actually fun AFTER you get your Ring, and don't have to go there for any other possible reason, except for farming organs for your Gorgets or Belts.

And I believe she's talking about Sea over all.

Getting Sky isn't that bad. Now finishing CoP is a REAL accomplishment. You can get Sky access in as little as 4 hours. The shortest I've ever seen anyone have access to sea is 2 weeks. I also think I spent about 2,000,000 gil overall on getting sea. It was expensive, but at least my set did good on many of the BCNMs. Went 1/2 on Ouryu, 1/1 on Promy-Vazhl, 1/3 on Snoll BCNM, 1/5 on Airship BCNM. 1/5 on Tenzen BCNM, and 1/1 on Promathia. (Vile Elixers +1 used for A LOT of those.) Not to mention each BCNM was pretty difficult. Overall, it's rewarding. You get some NICE rings. But it's ORZ a long the way. My set party got into a lot of yelling matches......and we almost disbanded a couple of times. We also could only do CoP like 2-3 times a month when our schedules would allow it. So it took us from December to about May to go from Minotaur fight, to the Promathia fight.

I know the ring you meant Anyone who doesn't know about CoP Rings by now needs to move the rock.


Although, I do remember beating promvions once, then coming to Alla asking where to get his ring...lol..

Sea is actually fun AFTER you get your Ring, and don't have to go there for any other possible reason, except for farming organs for your Gorgets or Belts.

Don't forget Limbus. Limbus is one of the most fun things in the game in my
opinion. Doesn't take to long to do a run, and the rewards are nice. Plus
I get to fight things like wyrms and behomeths without camping for hours
trying to get a claim.

Also, I can solo experience in Sea easier than I can other places it seems.

Lol, thanks for reminding me. So far, every time I do Limbus, we do the "easy" levels that drop an assload of coins and AF+1 items. Haven't done the King Behemoth, or Niddhogg levels yet. But of course I missed last Tuesday's Ultima Run, because I woke up late. >_<
