Why can't I access my Mog Locker?
I'm guessing there's not a Level Cap, or anything...
Seeing as how you could store something at a high level...then change Jobs and not have access to it anymore.
    o.o

Is there a Quest associated with it, or something?
    o.0;;

    Did you finish TAUM 2?

Did you give the guy infront of Whitegate MH a bronze coin?

Are you trying to access the locker from outside of Aht Urhgan?

        Re: Mog Locker

You have to do a Mission for Aht Urghan to be able to use the Mog Locker. Its a new edition to the game that came through the expansion.
Whitegate is a city section of AU. The MH is the moghouse. You have to give him a coin to be able to take things out of it.
Honestly, don't worry about the MogLocker until you're much farther in the game. Just make a mule to store stuff on. The ML is most useful for people who have lots of Rare/Ex equipment so that they can't store it on a mule.

How about for those people who already think $13 a month is too much...
Considering the large mass of people who play this game...
And don't want to spend $1 on a character so they can have access to something that should be given to them at the price of $13 a month?

So, I have to go to Aht Urghan???

Maybe I'll just store my stuff at the NPC I found in S.San d'Oria.

            Re: Mog Locker

Do the mog house quests and the gobbie bag quests to hold a total of 80 items in MH and 60 items on yourself.
If you're already spending 13 dollars, 1 dollars isnt that much more. If it is, just learn to part with things easily and be prepared to rebuy lots of items.

NPC only stores certain sets of items (such as full set of um... bone gear? idk, I don't use him.), AF, and event items.

One option you might be interested in is a MH (mog house) expansion, when you're at a later level. Check if your Sandy (San D'Oria) fame is 3+, get a bronze bed, arrange it in your MH, wait for the next Sunday to come, and if all goes well, your moogle will ask for a power bow and beetle ring. Give him it, and you've suddenly gotten 10 more slots in your MH!

                @ Xaoko
Thanks. I'll remember that about upgrading the Locker.

                @ Caspian
                It's not the money, really.
                It's the principle.
FFXI has been out for 4 years, right?
SE has made way more than enough(especially with such a large playerbase) to decrease the p2p amount at least a little.
And, asking people to pay an extra dollar a month is rediculous...
You might argue that $1 isn't alot...And, I would argue the same thing...$1 isn't alot...So why even charge it?

B/c that one dollar for a cpl mules per account, over thousands upon thousands of accounts a month is something. Thats why they charge it.

                    Re: Mog Locker

                    Right. Exactly.
And this has been going on for years and years and years...
Bringing me back to my original point.
SE has made more than they need to be able to decrease the cost of playing.

                      Re: Mog Locker

But, if people are willing to pay for it, why lower the price? Take gas for example. Apples and oranges, sure. But oil companies are making record profits, yet they aren't passing that profits back to the consumer. And, people are still buying despite the $3/gallon price.

                        Re: Mog Locker

That's because gas is needed to go places...
                        FFXI is a game...
I don't think you can really compare that.

                          Re: Mog Locker

Actually, you can. Because $12.95 is the current price, people feel they 'need' to pay that to continue playing (And it's true, you do) and so since they want to play, they pay.

Same for gas, people want to drive their cars, even though they don't have to(In many cities). There are busses, etc. And people often drive to places that are within walking distance.

You need to remember about the price, the fee SE charges is lower then most other MMOs, sure you can get the montly fee on WoW down to $12.99, but only if you bind yourself for 6 months whereas FFXI costs $12.99 as base price
One Windurst to rule them all
One Windurst to conquer the others
One Windurst to find the others
                            And in mithraness bind them
