A couple of questions - RPing

Just a few things I was wondering before I buy this game.

1. What is the RP community like? are there RP dedicated servers or is it a case of finding RPers in the world yourself?

2. Im in the UK and was just wondering about the monthly charge, everywhere I read just says the charge in dollars, is it a straight dollar to pound exhange?

3. Do guilds exist here? and if so in what form and what role do they play?

1. small pockets of RP'rs here and there. no dedicated RP servers. if you really want to RP, find a linkshell that RPs (use the search button, several have announced themselves on this forum) and create on their server.

2. check the EU website: http://www.playonline.com/ff11eu/index.shtml I dunno as I play in the US

3. a loose kind of guild called a linkshell exists. it's mostly a social/event organizing thing, ie you have linkshells to chat or organize mission/quest runs.

Still no wiser on the monthly fee, the EU site still has the price in american dollars for some stupid reason.
