you can press R (1 or 2 not sure) to bring up virtual keyboard.
or just plug any USB keyboard onto PS2 and it will type just like PC.

If you have a normal PS2 keyboard that comes with most computers, you can also get a USB -> PS2 adapter for about $5 - $10 USD

my keyboard gets dirty and dusty pretty quick >.> I have to replace it once every few months.

Why? It's fairly easy to clean a keyboard. Many are even possible to run through a dishwasher and then let them air dry without damage, or at least laptop keyboards tend to be.
