360 beta questions...

I looked and could not find the answers i'm looking for so I started a new thread. I will be playing the beta for 360 soon (I hope) and I had a question or two. Does the beta disc become usless once the full version is released (april 18 i think)? Or can I still play it with limitations? I've heard ppl say they're still playing the 2002 beta? Second question is, I know you need a card to subscribe to FFXI's service, but do I need one to play the beta (i know beta's free but for refrence purposes) Thank you to anyone who can help me out!

The beta disc is useless after they end it. You'll have to buy the retail version.
