Ok so last night at about 10 pm my town had this crazy power surge, like things popped and crap. (Clocks weren't reset, we have no idea what happened.) I was playing ffxi at the time and my ps2/tv shut off from it, ever since whenever I try to log in it says it can't connect to the DNS server. I just got this new ps2/hdd less than 2 weeks ago and if this is broken too I'm going to kill a rabbit. >.> I've tried to reset my router and cable modem and things like that. orz I'll keep fiddling with it, but in the meantime has anyone got any advice or heard about it?

There might be something wrong with your PS2.. My recommendation is if you bought insurance then send it back to sony to get it fixed. Safest way to fix your PS2. I don't think it's something wrong with your cable though since you can get online by PC but it might have problems.

Maybe you didn't read your FF or PS2 instructions completely and messed something up...kinda like when you didn't read the forum rules completely and messed up. Please watch / tone down / advance your language skills.
Other than that, listen to Kwis and when you do get your PS2 back, invest in a $5 Surge Protector, at least.

Re: I think a power surge fucked something up ><
Ok, so I unplugged everything I have for FFXI. (My set-up thing is ridiculous it goes: Cable modem>Router>Wireless transmitter [This stuff is in my basement.] to Wireless Receiver>PS2[Which are in my room in the attic.]) I left all the devices unplugged for about 3 hours and then set them all back up and was able to log in. I am sorry about the language, I was very angry at the time although that isn't much of an excuse. =/ Mods feel free to delete this.
