my mate is goin to start playing ffxi and so i looked on ebay for him to see if i could get it cheap for him and i was just wondering would a cd from the US work in a UK pc ?

mmmm I would think so, but I am not 100% sure -.- but if you get the US version and it does work, will have to get all the expansions in US as well, because trying to use the UK ones wont work with the JP or US versions-------------------------------------------------------------------------

yes it would work, but make sure it's not used. used copies of the game inevitably have the registration codes already used so that makes it absolutely worthless to you.
and what kailea said is true if you get the use copy, you'll have to get NA copies of every expansion. you can't mix NA and EU versions.
