My Situation

I played FFXI daily for about a year. I quit over a year ago shortly after CoP came out. I've got an Xbox 360 and am very excited about returning to ffxi when its released for the 360. I want to get a head start on the 360 crowd. Now my problem, i've found my original ffxi CDs but cannot find my CoP or my register codes. I am really trying to save some money so if at all possible i would like to not buy a new copy of the game. My friend can give me his PS2 version of the game but i would still have to buy CoP i think. Im going to keep looking for my CDs/account info. My question is can Square somehowere recover my POL ID after all this time with all my personal info saving me from buying a new game just for the codes? If i cant find my CoP CD can i use someone elses CD or do i need a register CoP also. Please help me out, i might be missing something here or any advice on what i should do would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to inform you but SE is one stupid SOB cos after 3months they Delete the damn account and it cannot be used again if you haven't been upkeeping you old account u'd have to buy a new copy. This is IMO one of the most fooked thing about FFXI, You can't take "time off" without paying.

Actually... the only time you have to buy a new game is if you cancel your POL account. SE does not cancel your POL account. Mine was inactive for a year and half before I returned. If you only cancelled your Content ID's you can still use it, but if you cancelled your POL account then more than likely you would need to purchase a new game.

The thing is i do not know my POL ID, i had it written in my game guide. If i called SE with all my billing information besides my CC (one i used for billing has been replaced) they could give me my POL ID and i can just buy content IDs?
