  • Monster Health Percentage help please^^

Hi, I've been seeing a lot of pictures with a party/player fighting a mob, and that mob has a number to the left of it's name (on the small window when you target it). Does anyone know how you get this to work??

I've included a picture to show what I mean. Is it TParty? Becuase everytime i do the windower, and pull up the console, the game shuts down on me.....thanks a lot!

EDIT: Sorry i asked the question, i didn't know it was illegal and i won't be using it. it's a good thing it never worked when i tried to start it up using windower, thanks.

That explains the "Monster Health Percentage" title then.

It's still done using TParty but I think the update broke it.

Nobody has mentioned yet in this thread that SE has officially declared this to be cheating, illegal and a violation of ToS, and that people can be jailed by GMs or even banned from FFXI if they are caught doing it. Whether or not you consider it unethical to do this, you should at least be aware of the risks involved.

Does this site have any policy about promoting behavior that is against ToS?

There's nothing illegal about it, but yeah it's cheating and you could get banned for it. Hence why most people aren't helping him on this forum (because it's an official fan site and has to abide by certain rules to remain official).

yes, they do, which is why nt at the top said, "I can't help you, go look somewhere else."

personally, i don't think using the windower is worth the risk. it's harmless, but se seems pretty anal about it if they catch you with it. i've put too much work into my character for it to be banned for using a program that shows the mob's hp in percentage, or something equally stupid...

No, the only way they can catch you is if you blatantly tell them that you're running Windower. That's because it's the same as running parsers. If you consider Windower as cheating and illegal, the same can be said of parsers. Once you're running anything that isn't officially sanctioned by SE (i.e., 3rd party software) you're in violation of the ToS, plain and simple.
