your sub-job will be half the level of your main job unless it's already below that before you start. Example; war-4/mnk-2 or mnk-45/war-4. nothing has changed except switching sub-job with main. your monk will "level up" as the warrior (main-job) levels and will stop leveling when the warrior reaches level 90
I always use a high level sub, as it's level will go up as the main goes up, untill it reaches it's full level, then it will stop going up, and it's time to switch.
