Using Tab Menu on JP client

Okay. So, I've never really had to use tab menu before the NA ver. was released...so I never really bothered with it. When NA ver came out, I switched to that. BUT, now I went back to the JP client.

How the crap do I use the tab menu on that thing? When I type out a place name, for example カザム then hit tab to have it auto-translated, it does nothing. I tried it when the characters were yellow or white...nothing..;[

What am I doing wrong?

you have to tab when it's still yellow. Try just type ka and follow by tab right away, if that doesn't give you lists of words then something's wrong.

and make sure the only yellow word is the word you want in the translator.

When I just type "ka" it comes up in hiragana and won't work for カ. However, when I do have ka in the yellow and I hit tab, it turns カ white and brings up the 'front page' of the tab menu. ヽ(;´д｀)ノ

I'll try the shift+tab thing when POL is working again, though.

strange. my FFXI can start the tab from hiragana no problem. no matter what form the final word is in.

i can't get auto-complete to work unless i hit shift-tab. was bugging me for the longest time and i don't know why it's different for some people

Yay! Shift+Tab works! Although, second time I did it I accidently hit Alt+Tab. T-T;
