Ok, I've been trying to ask all of my friends on my problem with the game and there's always two things that always comes up. Anyway here's my problem. 2 weeks ago, I was in a party inside Den of Rancor. And hour into the party my screen completely turns black. And I don't know why. I moved my mouse, nothing happened, but yet I'm still hearing my character hack away at the mob.
Fearing at the death of my party with me BEING in the game (even though I can't see anything) I just started to do what I normally do. Mind you, my screen is blacked out and I can't see anything. So I tested something out. I pressed my ctrl+1 (which is my voke macro) to see if I can hear the voke. And I did. So i just kept doing that with my cures and stuff (and I'm still hearing me getting hit) til the fight music was off. After that I typed in (blindly) the party chat that I have to log cause my screen is completely black. I did, but as I got out of the game (cause I thought it was problem with my game) my screen is still black. I don't understand why. I hard to restart my cpu to get the screen to come back up again. So after that I came back to the party, told them my problem, and they also don't know what's happening. So I logged off after an hour (it didn't happen again but I wanted to get out of the game just in case it happens again).
Lets forward 2 weeks later (which is about 2 days ago). I decided to play the game (again). As I was seeking my screen turns black. Again. So I was like crap it did it again. Log'd out, turned off the cpu and turned it back on, and it was all normal again. I logged back in the game again, all is normal (or so I thought it was). So while seeking i decided to go to Sauromugue and kill some gobs for change. 5 minutes in, it turns black again. Of course at this point, I'm already frustraded and decided to say FUCK IT and logged off.
Now is there anyone that can tell me wtf is happening?? Is it my VID card that has a problem?? or is it my monitor?? I'm at a loss here and I am getting annoyed cause I wanna get to 70 with my PLD and this problem is keeping me from doing it.

P.S. Also a lot of my friends suggested turning off my CPU (cause we've been experiencing this summer weather where my house is at 95 all day). I did it today and wondering if that will help with the problem. I already have a new monitor comming along (incase it's a monitor problem). I also noticed, whenever the screen turns black, the monitor acts like it's in a powersave mode (which is off btw). And I don't get why.
