Converting your NA FFXI into the Japanese FFXI

i did it in registry...just modify all entries for PlayOnline's FFXI tree to match PlayOnlineUS's FFXI tree. took maybe 5 minutes max.

hi does anyone uses 2versions on one pc?
i tried and everytime it has to update files
anyone knows what to do to the registry keys to interswitch between the 2 versions?

I am using two version on one PC, and all i had to do is install the JA POL into a different folder and copy the whole FFXI tree into the JA POL folder and tweaked the registry. Using about 11G only for FFXI ^^'

Starts now "normal" and with no always update before start.

The only thing i have to tune is the autologin in the JA POL, but there have to be a switch...

i installed the JP version of the POL, but it freeze at now loading screen. Can someone help me?

You need to copy the FFXI folder into the appropriate place in the japanese playonline folder..

From here - go to run and run RegEdit.. Pull up the FFXI files for NA version and JP version - basically copy each and create new registry files when needed exactly as they appear in the NA version - but for the JP version.. It'll be under the JP playonline folder.. Check the NA folder.. There is a file under PlayOnlineUS in the InstallFolder - it directs Tetra Master and FFXI to the appropriate directories.. Make the same file type and registry settings for the japanese side - same numbers and registry file type.. Just change the location.

As much as I hate to close this thread it is Illegal since you do not own a copy of the Japanese POL or FFXI.

Any questions talk to Angler about it.
