Chapter Five - More Hunting and Two More Levels

Hello again. I've almost caught up to where I am currently in the game. At this point I am still level 5 with 55 HP and 82 MP. I've decided to do some hunting just outside of San'doria. The farther you get away from the castle, the stronger the monsters become. I had to fight near the castle since I was only level 5. Just a little ways down the dirt path I found a fire glowing bright red with a few rocks around it. I had been here before, but the last time I was here there were at least four orcs surrounding the fire.



I decided to search for some of the monsters that I stood a chance against and I started fighting. My first victim was this scarab beetle.



Oh... looky! Another beetle!



Yea... this one's dead. You can tell if it is dead or not by the font that it's name is written in... Grey means dead. I think red means that you are fighting it, purple means that someone else is fighting it and white just means they aren't fighting anyone.



This next picture... I like it. Even though I'm being knocked upside the head by this orc it looks pretty cool You'd think a blow like that would kill a little taru instantly. Oh, and don't worry. I ended up showing this orc who's boss



Heh, yea... that little blue spark is me hitting him with my staff :sweat:



Bwhahaha! That'll teach him.



Hey! What's he looking at! Actually... this monster (Forest Funguar) isn't very easy. Even the ones that are one or two levels below me put up a decent fight.




And here is another that I killed!



After a lot of fights I hadn't gotten very far, so someone from my linkshell, Jaymin, said he would help me out some. Well, he helped me out a whole lot! Only after a couple of hours he had gotten me up to level 7! Two levels! He came in riding on a chocobo! I just had to take a picture!




We ventured out into the forest and he hopped off of his chocobo. He had a real nice place where there were plenty of tough monsters. With his white magic I could fight sheep and orcs for 100 exp each!



After a few fights I had already gained one level!



Of course. With all of the battles we had, there were many times when we were resting.



This is the first time I had seen this monster. It turned out that he was very easy and only gave about 36 exp.




We fought more and more without any deaths.

Heh... I finally got Jaymin to wave for the camera. I don't think he knew I had been taking pictures from the start :angel:

And FINALLY! Level 7! I think I caught this picture just right.



Whew... after hunting for so long we thought we'd head back to the safety of the San'dorian walls.

Yep, my young pupil is doing a great job. He made lvl 12 last night in a pt of 6 we had. I was working on my whm sub job. Twist is doing real good and having alot of fun. He used to get mad about dieing alot but as i told him its part of the game and it happends. It wont happend alot when your higher lvl tho unless your doing a hard quest v some high NM, or your in a pt and the whm has to choose between healing the war who can taunt the monster off him or another person as a casualty:dead: lol..its awesome tho...Congrats to all the beta folks(PC/PS2) I applyd for beta but its been a fukn week..sad to say that i beleive they are done But on a good note....all the importors who didnt get in beta get to work on their characters jobs and get them higher, then in Oct when its released we'll still have our characters^^ so it worked out........cya in the game
