    The legend begins as so.
The Beginning of everything was with the stone.

A long long ago, this beautiful living stone,
With its shining of seven colors banished the darkness,
    Filled the world with life,
And gave birth to powerful gods.

Happiness and light blessed ages continued,
And soon the gods have gone to their sleep.
The name of this world is Vana'diel.

    Sometime after, a great tribulation
Was about to fill this blessed land of Vana'diel.
The ancient seal, after resisting dark power for thousands of years,
Was broken and awakening the ending nightmare.

Innocent blood will flow through the great land.
The world will be enveloped by fear, sadness, and disparity.

However, this does not mean there is no hope...
There exists one star, shining brightly
Even through the nights of the harshest storms.
    There exists a powerful song,
Not being vanished by the howls of any beasts.

    That's right.
    Proud ones,
Filled with wisdom, courage, and determination...

Now, awaken from the dark slumber.
    Stand now, the legendary heroes.
    The crystal warriors!

*Ahem!* Sigil here, nice to meet you. Above is what I have compiled so far from the epic, "Legend of the Crystal Warriors." Interesting isn't it? I am in awe of the accuracy of this writing piece. Who was it written by? When was it written? I must learn more about this, this epitome of historical texts. Although very vague and can be applied to many historical events in our history, this legend (or myth?) is the cornerstone to unlocking the great mysteries of our world!

Oh! I'm sorry! I have a habit of that, you know, drifting off...

As you may be aware, my name is Sigil Ethroraa of Windurst. I work as an apprentice historian, student, sociologist and white magician. Generally I'm a librarian.

In response to the rather odd events happening in Vana'diel, I have decided to take my reseach and apprenticeship abroad to the far off lands. I'm particularly curious with the so-called forbidden magicks, or Summoning. I've dabbled in the study of it, but I have yet to be able to conjure any arcane creatures. What a pity. Perhaps in my travels I'll learn more of this art and hopefully be able to call forth a creature myself!

Being an adventurer can't be hard, can it? It's simply carrying around a weapon and fending off silly little enemies with them, correct? I hope I'm not wrong, considering my lack of physical abilities for any tremendous task.

What am I thinking?! This shouldn't be any harder than reading a book or translating a scroll, right? Perhaps my spellcasting-abilities will be able to assist me in my ventures; but deep inside I have the peculiar feeling I'll need more than just a head on my shoulders to understand the mysteries of this strange and dangerous world.

[OOC: I hope you enoyed my first installment of my journies in Vanadiel! I'll add pictures as soon as I can upload them. =)]

Already just several feet from the Windurst Woods entrance, I discovered that adventuring was not as easy as I had assumed it would be. I knew the verdant fields of Saruta-Baruta were heavily populated with rarabs, mandragoras, bees and the like, but I had no idea they were so difficult to defeat!

Considering I had barely any skill in any weaponry, my attacks did pitiful damage against the seemingly rock-hard carcass of the ferocious rarab.

After several of these fights, I managed to actually get used to wielding my Ankh and learned to use something called a Weapon Skill! This was rather exciting, as I had studied Weapon Skills before and I knew of their ability to quickly turn the tides of a losing battle. Although it was a basic Weapon Skill, it proved very useful against my enemies.

I've compiled a list of the Weapon Skills for Ankh, or club-weapons like the ones I use:

      10 Shining Strike
      40 Seraph Strike
      70 Brain Shaker
      100 Starlight
      125 Moonlight
      150 Skull Breaker
      175 True Strike
      200 Judgement
      225 Hexa Strike
      230 Black Halo

The numbers on the left signify the skill level I need of these weapons in order to learn the skill. These are not all that complicated, but they are rather difficult to attain.

Already just a few hourse away from my comfy home and already I've learned so much! However, I cannot find this as a adventure, rather than a journey for knowledge. I must remain objective in my studies and never be swayed by temptations and/or morals. Already this journey has made me feel lonely, if only I had requested assistance from the Aurastery when I left! *sigh*

[OOC-If you haven't noticed already, this is my roleplaying character Sigil~ in the world Remora. With luck I'll find a roleplaying linkshell around the time I start partying so things won't be so awkward! If you're in Remora too, feel free to send me a /tell. I'd also love to respond to anyone who's interesting in joining Sigil's adventures ^^]

Very interesting to say the least. I like how you are not only showing pictures but actually giving a good story to go along with it. Do not give it up just because not many people are posting. I will be watching, and possibly posting. ^^
