  • Llanir's Journies

Hello, everyone. Thank you for looking at my journal.

I have found so many of the other journals posted here to be quite interesting, so I thought I would share my experiences in Vana'diel with you as well.

    I hope you enjoy it.

Before setting out from Jeuno, I decided to have my fortune told.

"In your future I see...A SUBLIGAR! YUCK!!"

I exited Jeuno and made my way to Batallia Downs.

I headed toward the coast, and on my way I found the most interesting trees.

It's hard to believe this place is so beautiful knowing what lies underneath it.

Far away from the coast, I found these twisted trees that dotted the land near a few of the entrances to the Necropolis.

They seem to foreshadow what lies below.

After running around in Batallia, I made my way back to Jeuno.

Overwhelmed by all of the shouts and crowds of people, I left once again. This time I exited Jeuno to the east to Sauromugue. The weather was bad so I did not stop to take pictures and went directly to Meriphataud.

Most people find this arid region to be rather dull. However, I think it's really quite breathtaking at night.

Here is a picture of Drogaroga's Spine that stretches the entire width of the area.

As I pondered where to go next, the sun was creeping it's way over the edge of the mountain tops.

Of course I wasn't going to skip on going to Zi'tah.

As I stepped in, I looked up and snapped this.

You usually can't pass the beautiful glowing crystals that dot this area without crossing the path of a Rock Golem.

You know if the ground shakes when something moves, it's usually something you don't want to mess with. But, luckily I was on a chocobo, because this thing would have made a swift meal out of me...if it eats. Does it even have a mouth?

There are many of these ponds in Zi'tah. One of which is where you fight the NM Pugil to get Samurai AF1.

Goblins and Leeches frequent these areas.

This is the huge tree where you fight the Guardian Treant for the Samurai Job Quest.

This tree makes a Galka look like a Forest Hare.

I decided to leave Zi'tah and go to another beautiful area: Buburimu.

I had to make this trip on foot because my chocobo decided to leave me back in Zi'tah.

As I was running through Tahrongi I took this picture of one of the many sets of sun bleached dragon bones that lie half exposed all throughout the area.

I made it to the beach in Buburimu right at sunset.

I noticed some sharks swimming dangerously close to the shore.

The sunset was so beautiful, that I wished I had not made the journey alone.
