OOC: Well, thanks to my suddenly getting a horrible toothache and losing almost all my sleep over it last night, I'm not in school today. Therefore, I have time to go through and get screenshot ready for a new journal entry! ^^ The new entry, however, will be written in school tomorrow, because I also wanna have time to go on FFXI. :p In the meantime, I'll leave you all with a really pretty picture from the Hidden Valley in Yuhtunga Jungle near the entrance to the Sea Serpent Grotto. You come by here on the way to Norg.

OOC: Okay, apparently I underestimated the amount of time necessary to go through all those pics. :sweat: I went through some, and I've added some pics of the BRD quest to one of my previous entries. I have some pics of the SMN and RNG quests, too, as well as pics of the Rank 4 mission, so I'll make a new entry for them later. Right now, though, I actually have schoolwork to do. Damn final projects... :mad:

OOC: Aww, thanks Thallos. ^^ Anyway, I just remembered something. I'm doing a quest for Halver in San d'Oria where I have to find Prince Trion a bride. Apparently the description of who he wants is random for everyone who takes the quest. I have to find him "a Tarutaru with voluminous blonde hair parted in two behind her ears." Sick Elvaan pervert is a pedophile. Erm... anyway.... if anyone on Quetzalcoatl plays a Tarutaru that fits this description (or if you know someone who does), please send me a /tell in-game. Said person must be at least rank 2 if San d'Orian or, if from another nation, must be on mission 2-3 or be rank 3 or higher. I have to PT with this girl and go to Chateau d'Oraguille with her. We will both apparently be treated to a hilarious cutscene at that point, and recieve a rare/ex ring that apparently has something to do with getting married in-game. I have to finish this quest before I can take the quest to become a DRG (since Halver is the one that gives it, and right now all he'll talk about is this quest), which is why I mention it here; I really wanna start that quest. : / As an added bonus, whoever comes with me will get to be in my journal when I talk about the quest! :spin:

OOC: Okay guys, here's the deal. I've come to realize that the reason I haven't been updating for so long is because I really don't feel like writing up entries on my advanced job quests. I haven't been feeling very motivated lately, what with my horrible toothache (I'm probably gonna need a root canal, from the looks of it :dead: ) and the chaos coming from my impending graduation from high school (even now as I'm typing this, I really should be looking up info for a speech I have to give in my English class in a few hours). I've been thinking that I might update with a couple of miscellaneous pics that I've taken that don't really have to do with anything, but that won't be until at least tomorrow. Sorry to everyone who was expecting a big update soon; I'll try and get one done ASAP. I do have a four-day weekend coming up in a few days, so maybe I'll get something done then (though my dentist appointment is on Friday, so likely I'll be in too much pain then to do it /cry). Keep your fingers crossed!

OOC: Just wanted to let you guys know that I haven't died or anything. I am working on getting another update (another few updates, really) ready. I've already gone through about 200 screenshots, but I still have about 150 more to go through. I know this sounds like a lot, but to put things in perspective, out of the 200 or so I've gone through so far, about 55-60 were actually kept. I typically take a lot more screenshots than I actually use, simply so I can pick and choose the best ones to put up. As a bit of preview, I'm gonna have pics of the NIN and SMN quests (SMN just because Ajido-Marujido is in it, and I love him :sweat: ), as well as the first parts of the rank 5 mission (I won't be finishing that one until I level up THF some more, but the cutscenes at the beginning were quite interesting; I met Kam'lanaut, Eald'narche, Aldo, Verena, and Fickblix ^^). Of course, there's also a bunch of other stuff, but those are the most prominent of the things I remember off the top of my head. Oh! And I also finally found a Goblin Footprint in the Horutoto Ruins, so I'll be adding pics to earlier entries (namely the ones with missions 2-1 and 3-2, which had some of the best cutscenes ^^), as well. And since I hate to leave you guys without any pics, here's a pretty screenshot I took in Yuhtunga Jungle on my way out of Norg (I was there doing quests for my Tonko: Ichi and Utsusemi: Ichi scrolls) :

OOC: Okay, I've realized why I've been so reluctant to update lately. Basically, it's that I've got so much material to work with that I don't think I could make it all into one flowing story like the previous entries have been. I have, however, thought of a solution for this. From now on, I will do my future entries somewhat like a photo album; the events pictured and discussed won't necessarily be in chronological order or anything; they'll just be a bunch of random moments that I'll talk about as I get the pics ready and uploaded. So, that said, I'll have some updates ready real soon (really this time~!). Look forward to them! ^^

OOC: It took a little longer than I had planned, but I've finally got an update ready for you guys! This entry will detail my experiences with the Ninja quest, since Lanih wanted to see those shots of Norg. ^^

While I was in Bastok meeting with Malakai, Deniro, and Shaw, I met a cute little girl in the port named Kaede. I found out that she was the little sister of Ayame, the Mythril Musketeer I met in the Waughroon Shrine in the Palborough Mines. Kaede told me that she wanted to use a katana like her sister, but that her dad got mad at her when she told him about it. She said her dad had been acting strangely ever since he had started visiting a man named Kagetora from the Tenshodo.





I decided to go see this Kagetora and find out what was going on, so I headed to the Tenshodo HQ not too far away. I found the man...





...but he didn't tell me much, so I decided to go talk to Ayame and Kaede's father. He seemed somewhat upset about what Kagetora had told me, but didn't get to say much about it before Kaede ran in and interrupted. After a brief arguement, she left the room, and Ensetsu apologized for letting me see that. He then informed me that he was trying to buy back something he had recently sold through the Tenshodo, but that Kagetora told him he wouldn't give it back unless Ensetsu brought him a piece of strangely shaped coral from Korroloka Tunnel. He asked me to get it for him, since he was sure that he would not survive a trip through the tunnel.









I agreed to do it, but Malakai told me that the tunnel was pretty dangerous, so he, Deniro, and Shaw came along with me. Here's a few pics I took while we were looking for a strangely shaped coral. It was very pretty in there. ^^







We eventually found it, but when I bent down to cut a piece off, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and I instinctively turned around, only to find three leeches hopping towards me! We took them on...



...and made quick work of them, since Malakai and Deniro were there. After they were taken care off, I got a piece of the coral, and we headed back to town. I gave the coral to Ensetsu, but he said that he was told he would need to take the coral to Norg himself. He said that he couldn't do that, and asked if I could possibly travel to Norg in his stead and deliver the coral to a man named Ryoma.



I had never been to Norg myself, so I asked Malakai if he could escort me there. He agreed ('cause he's the nicest dark knight in the world ), and Deniro and Shaw decided to come along with us. We rented chocobos and rode to Jeuno (well, Malakai rode an airship there because he's spoiled ), then took the airship to Kazham. Here's a nice shot I took of us on the airship. (Mal's not in it though : /)



After arriving in Kazham, we rented chocobos, and Malakai guided us through Yuhtunga Jungle to a hidden valley to the west of the outpost at the southern edge of the jungle. The valley was full of Sahagins, a race of beastmen I had until now only head stories about. Since we were on chocobos, though, they didn't bother us, and we traveled through the valley to a cave. There was a beautiful waterfall near the cave, so I took a picture of it.

Hopping off of our chocobos, we headed into the cave, which Malakai said was called the Sea Serpent Grotto. I didn't get any pictures of the place, since I was busy trying not to make any noise that would alert the sahagins, undead, and various other monsters that I was there. Luckily, Deniro and Shaw were there to cast Sneak on us, which helped considerably. Eventually we reached Norg, and my first impression was that it looked like the quintessential pirate hideout. Which made sense, since it is the base of the pirates who occasionally attack the ferry between Mhaura and Selbina. Here are a few pictures I took of the town:







After exploring the town a bit and talking to people, I found Ryoma, who was standing near the pier that the pirates use to dock in Norg. He looked upset at Ensetsu for not coming on his own, but seemed satisfied that Ensetsu wanted the blade back. He also claimed that he was only doing it for Ayame and Kaede, since he apparently didn't want me thinking that he held any sort of affection for Ensetsu.







I couldn't help but think that this Yomi that Ensetsu had married must've been a very wonderful person if all these people were so jealous of Ensetsu for having married her. With that thought in mind, I used a scroll of Instant Warp to get back to Bastok, where I gave the katana back to Ensetsu. He thanked me again, when Kaede ran in and demanded to know why her father kept buying katanas for Ayame, but wouldn't let her use one. Ensetsu told her that he had never bought a single blade for Ayame, and she asked what the blade I just brought back was for. He then proceeded to tell her the whole story about how her mother was a master ninja, and how she died in giving bitrh to Kaede. He said that Kaede reminded him more and more of her mother everyday, and that that was why he was so protective of her. But he realized that he couldn't do that anymore, and gave her the katana that I had brought back.













He then offered me a croll detailing the secrets of the ninja as a reward for all my help.



I happily accepted it, and headed back to Windurst to train in the arts of ninjutsu. ^^ And that's all for this entry. I'll try and do an entry on my rank 4 mission next time. Until then, enjoy! ^^

Looks like I really did go so long without updates that everyone gave up on my journal. Oh well, I'll keep posting anyway. I've got a BIIIIIG surprise for everyone coming up in the next update! Look forward to it~ ^^
