One question tough, I'm sure many other people have said it but how do I show Pics on a thread(I wanna start a Journal )

Thanks, mr.aaa! ^^ To post pics in the actual post (instead of uploading one as an attachment), you have to have the pics uploaded to a host somewhere else online. If you don't have an image host (don't even try to use Angelfire or Freewebs; I've tried both, and they don't work ), I suggest Photobucket. They offer a good amount of space and bandwidth for most people (not for me though, since this journal seems to be so popular; you guys killed my bandwidth XD), and they're free. Anyway, once you've got your pics uploaded, to post an image in a post, use the following code, without the asteriks:

[*IMG]http://your_image_url.jpg[*/IMG]

Hope that helps. ^^ As for that update with the BIG surprise I mentioned in my last post, it unfortunately won't be exactly how I envisioned it, since FRAPS chose the absolute WORST time to not be on (*kicks herself repeatedly*), but as soon as I get a couple more pics, I'll be sure to post it. Until then, you'll just have to stay in suspense! :angel:

OOC: Well, time for that update I promised. But you should know me better by now than to think you'll get that surprise without a bit of story to go with it.

The other day, I was helping Trini with a mission he was on, and while we were on our way back to Windurst after completing it, we found ourselves on the boat from Selbina to Mhaura. While I was taking out a Sea Crab that had hopped up onto the boat, someone in my linkshell mentioned something about marriage. They said something about how more and more adventurers were getting married. Now, anyone who knows me somewhat well knows that I am a hopeless romantic, and I made an idle comment about how I'd love to get married one day, and that I hoped that one day someone would propose to me in some overly romantic fashion. :sweat: Being that I'm quite popular in my linkshell, combined with the fact that it's a rather large group, I got a lot of joking proposals from guys in the LS, but I knew they were just that. Secretly though, I had been hoping that Otiluke would ask me seriously, as I've had secret feelings for him for quite awhile previous to this.

After awhile, the conversation shifted away from the topic of marriage and love, and I began to forget about it. A little later, as the ship was beginning to get close to Mhaura, I was contacted privately by none other than Otiluke himself. He told me to check my delivery box in my mog house, and I could tell he had a surprise waiting for me there. Now excited, I started to rush back to Windurst, after apologizing to Trini for leaving him. He told me it was no problem, as he could just cast a Warp spell and be home before me, so I waved goodbye to him and ran to the Crag of Mea to rent a chocobo back to Windurst.

Upon arriving back, I headed straight to my mog house. I greeted my moogle, and asked him if he could give me whatever was in my delivery box. He seemed to smile (as much as a moogle can, anyway), and handed me the most beautiful red rose I had ever seen. He told me that Otiluke had asked him to give it to me, and that he wanted to meet me at the top of Heavens Tower, in the planetarium.

Obviously, at this point, my mind was racing with possibilities, and in a daze, I walked to Heavens Tower in the middle of Windurst Walls. I walked in, and, as I always am, was struck by the serene beauty of the place. I didn't know if Otiluke knew that this was my favorite place to come and relax, but at any rate, I headed up to the planetarium, greeting Kupipi along the way (she's such a nice person once you get to know her ^^). When I finally arrived, I saw Otiluke talking to Rhy, one of the Sibyl Guards. She said something to him I couldn't hear, though it was probably something along the lines of me being here, since he turned around and smiled upon seeing me. He walked over and greeted me, then noticed the flower in my hand, which I had been holding close to me from the time my moogle handed it to me.

"I see you got the flower. How do you like it?" he asked with a smile.

I loved it, and told him as much. He seemed happy, and proceeded to make small talk, mainly about what each of us had been doing lately. I mentioned how lately I'd just been helping people out a lot with things they needed to do. He commented on how nice that was of me, and how that was one of the things he liked best about me. Unable to help myself, I blushed a bit at that, looking away in a futile attempt to hide it. I'm sure he noticed it, but he didn't bring it up, thankfully. However, he said he had something to ask me. Turning back to him, I noticed that he was on one knee and looking up at me, looking as calm as ever. My heart started racing when he took my hand and began to speak.

"Kyrie, I was just wondering... would you marry me?" he asked, not showing the nervousness I'm sure he must've been feeling. His eyes, however, told me exactly how he felt: nervous, hopeful, but most of all, full of love.

I swear, my heart must've skipped a beat, but I could tell from Oti's facial expression after a moment that he knew my answer already (most likely because of the huge smile that appeared on my face the moment he stopped speaking, along with the happy tears in my eyes). I knelt down and embraced him tightly, managing to shakily mutter a response through my tears. "Of course I will...."

He smiled wider at that, and whispered to me, "I love you, Kyrie... my pretty little kitty..."

I know that a lot of Mithra seem to be offended when people of other races refer to them as 'kitties' and such, but coming from my Otiluke right then, I absolutely melted in his arms (which, by the way, were stronger than one might expect from a Tarutaru, even though he was being gentle).

I don't know how long we stayed there like that, but eventually Oti whispered in my ear that we had better head somewhere more private. Embarrassed, I realized that we were in a somewhat public location (even though the Sybil Guards were the only people around at the time), and I nodded and released him from my embrace and stood up. As we walked past a couple of the Sybil Guards, they gave us knowing smiles, and one of them winked at me and mouthed the word 'Congratulations.' I blushed profusely and nodded my thanks to her, then continued with Oti towards the teleporter leading to the first floor.

He explained to me on the way to the residential district that he had been talking to one of the Sybil Guards awhile back, and that she told him about how I always came there to relax when I was stressed out. He said that was when he decided it would be the perfect place to propose to me, and told the Sybil Guards about his plan so that they would leave us alone when he did. Suddenly I understood why that one Sybil Guard had seemed so cool about the whole event; they had all known in advance.

We soon reached Otiluke's mog house. He looked to me and said "I'd invite you in, but I don't exactly have much in the way of furniture. I don't even have a bed, to tell you the truth," he commented, blushing slightly.

Not even a bed, I thought to myself. Poor Oti... I remember when I didn't have a bed... that carpet that comes with new mog houses isn't exactly the most comfortable thing to have to sleep on... "Say, why don't you come spend the night at my house?" I asked him. "I've got a bed, and it's a bit large for just one person." I told him, smiling.

He smiled at me upon hearing that, and Altana help me, I can't help but love that little guy when he smiles at me like that. ^_^ So, after stopping in his house to tell his moogle that he wouldn't be staying there that night and grabbing some night clothes, we headed to my mog house. I told my moogle about my engagement, and he happily congratulated me. Around this time, Oti and I realized just how tired we were, and after changing into some more comfortable clothes, we retired to bed for the night, falling asleep in a matter of minutes. As I lay there cuddling with my new fiancé, falling asleep, I had only one thought: If this is all a dream, don't wake me....

CONGRATULATIONS KYRIE! It's so wonderful you finally found a little man to settle down with . Although I doubt there's going to be much settling for you . I'll be around on the weekend, but RL is really eating up my time right now, test wednesday and friday :dead:

Are you two gonna cough up the 800k and invite alot of people? If so, can I come? I'd have to buy a world pass but I can't miss Kyrials Wedding! If I can't come, make sure to take some really cool pics

OOC: Thanks Has and mr.aaa. ^^ And the large weddings only cost 130k, not 800. And yes, we are working towards scrounging that together. I've already started farming, as I decided that I'm going to pay for half of it, which means I gotta get 65k together (most I've ever had to farm yet). Right now I've got about 12k, and I've got a bunch of stuff for sale on the AH worth about another 5k. So then I'll be about a quarter of the way there. :sweat: Oti will be farming the other half, of course, but he's working on the 4th Gobbiebag quest right now, so I told him to finish that before he started farming if he wanted to. As for coming to my wedding, I don't know if that would work. We can only have 33 guests, and we're inviting as many people from our linkshell as we can, as well as a few of my friends like Nasya and Faluzure. If there's any room left after that, though, I'll be sure to let ya know. And don't worry about pics; believe me, I'll be taking a TON. ^_~

I just spent a few hours reading this journal from beginning to end and I must say, I am greatly impressed! Kyrial, your journal is excellent, from the detailed story telling, to the fun-n-games (hide and seek was great) and even the no win situation with that HNM sheep, its been a joy to read. And now a wedding! Congradulations to you and your fiancee! I look forward to seeing the wedding pics and more of your future adventures!
