Curiosity killed the Taru...

lol, another great story, me and my friend decided we'd had enough of Bastok and decided to head home to windurst (i must say, Bastok and gustaburg are very boring and dreary places)

and anyways, we were doing fine, headed to Selbina, and made it onto the ship that left literally as my friend stepped on the boat, we were lucky! anyways, after the boat takes off, i see "so and so (i can't remember their name) hits the Sea Horror for 152 damage." i was like awesome!!!! a sea horror! finally! i've always wanted to see one!

so i run up to the top deck as my friend's telling me not to go, to get my butt back down there in the cabin, you think i listened? no! and so i ran up there, took a picture

and then got slaughtered the next second by an area attack he did, a one hit wonder for me, hehe

so yeah, well now i'm dead, lol, what'd you expect from a tarutaru? second time in one day i've died (about 600 exp lost that day total after my raise) and i got lots of pictures while i was dead!

wouldn't you agree that he looks like a cross between and evil gigantic starfish and an evil gigantic stingray?

anyways, i got raised, lucky me a second raiser was on board, the only one i knew of died in that battle, hehe, and this is me after our little conflict with my friend who stayed down in the cabin, lol

anyways, we always have a happy ending, i had tons of fun, and dying from a Sea Horror and getting pics of it made it even more fun, lol

and here's us after we arrived back in Windurst, home sweet home, right before we part and log off in front of our mog house

lol that happend to my friends once, we were all newbies back then, like you, we were all on the boat for 1st time, so we went onto the deck as soon as the boat started, and... like you, the sea horror came on our 1st ride, so we all ran inside, but 1 of my taru friend decided to play 'open the door' and at the end, she killed herself and another taru in the party, me and another taru managed to get out alive... but it was well funny

Same thing happened to me on my trips with the boat going back and forth. However my first traumatic experience was the pirates. I wish i took some pics but i was too busy running away

As usual the curious tarus always end up dead anyway. I had no where to go and ended up getting hacked to death with their scythes. :dead:

Best I've seen on a boat are sea monks, and I can whack them around easily. ._. Sob. No challenges.

I would actually like to see the guy who gets himself killed on the airship. That would never happen, but wouldn't it be strange to be getting free rides to any of the three kingdoms without having to pay a single gil? Heh, but if it was like that, I'm sure there would always be a WHM around to raise whoever tried doing that.
