Trials of Triel :PT2 The golems plea

This is the land of mystery and deep forboding and deception on a grande scale.
Do not let the lush forests betray your senses .

This is where the second part of my tale begins...
I was told to come here. However once I arived I thought i'd know what to look for...
The priest told me Id know once I'd arrive. lets go further and see what awaits us.

I made my way into the darkness, of the dense forest, Taking in the tranquil peace of the area.
NO one could deny the place gave of a sense of calm.

I felt at ease in this place , Which was not a good thing however.

My chobi grew hungry and started to Kweh for feeding.

WE found a patch to stop and rest on.
I threw some Gysahl greens to the floor and bade it to eat.


"What's that.........?" I said to no one I turned my head to listen again.

I heard it again a grating sound.. coming from the east I moved again after chobi finished eating..


"Come we must move on I heard something...dont be scared.."
I urged it.

focusing on the sound, Me and chobi made it to a wide glenn with crystals dotting the landscape..


We pushed ever so closer to the noise.

BY the goddess a Golem in such a place?

I have never heard of golems tapsing these woods.

perhaps it was a trick of the light and the crystal formations?

"Hello triel please come closer....." I heard it grumble

"???"

Chobi stood firm..It was so brave at times.

"I will not harm you dear child...please come closer!"

"I 'll stop here if you dont mind, why did you call out to me and how do you know my name?" I said, a little nervous.

"Your name is well traveled in various circles, A friend spoke very highly of you !"

"friend?"

"Yes , he has said that you are very good atyour given job. I know this first hand, as you have used your job against my kind for some time now?

What do you mean? I harbor no ill will towards golems?

"let me take you back some and show you the collective mind of my race."


I felt ill and heavy as if a rock sat on my chest, I rolled off chobi and knelt on the floor of zitahs woods.


in my minds eye sat two distinct images one of the dark knight and another of the palaidn. Two oppssed forces of light and dark.

why were they there?

Take a trip thru your mind and look at what we all saw...


This golem was directly linked to me here in this place you call zitah.

Yet you have killed without remorse.

look at how you stand over the body.. It merged with the world not long after that.

Good this golem was on patrol of that cursed land , Yet you interfered with its job and killed it again . It held vital information ,
Yet now its gone and has yet to merge because of that cursed land.

What are doing to me .. That thing..

This is another you began to slay along with many others.

Your memory of this event held special purpose didnt it...

The ghost of the legendary red mage? Yes i see it clearly?

This golem was playing my mind as a toy and i was helpless, i could only go along with it...

What is the purpose of all this?

I yelled at its mindseye.

You are as strong as they say you are, The Priest in sandoria was correct about you .

What? I said aloud surprised and a little shocked.
What was shalmonde up to out here? What was his deal with this golem and me?

There is a purpose to these images I show you again.

I need to meet you myself to know wether you were up to this task i have for you.


My confusion grew to the point of madness.

To the north lies Ro maeve.
an ancient place of great mystery and forboding.
I need you to go there and do something for the future of this world.

I stood in angst with tis golem ..
It had taken me thru alot and now it asked a favor?

I thought that perhaps it would grind my bones into the ground,
My life up til now was one of darkness and little light..
I fear my dark side shall grow this day and thered be nothing I could do about it.


Fear not magician..The task i ask has caused me much pain and sorrow..
For the task i ask is for you to eliminate two of my kind....

they have allied themselves to the darkness of that ancient land and need to be removed from this existence.
Sadly while in the land of Ro'mave if they are killed they will not merge with the world and there memories shall not become part of our conciouness.
The sandorian priest has noted that if it did it would contaminate untold numbers of us golemkind there by making a sixth race dedicated to the destruction of vanadiels peoples.
We golem only want peace and solitude.

The two in that place were sent to patrol and have become pawns..
they must not be allowed to leave. Follow this path and go do what I ask.. please.
