  • The great escape.

It was going fine today. I was in a six man party, Three Warriors, a Monk, A Black Mage, and a Red Mage. We were up at the top floor of the Palborough mines. We were killing increadably toughs and loving it, and then, lo and behold, it goes from good to worse. Just as we were finishing off the Increadably Tough Quadav Vet, another Inc.Tough Onyx Quadav spawns behind our Black Mage. It kills him in two hits, and we look around, horrified.

So we run back to the old chamber of the Vet, and heal. We run forward, and with a whack, cling, tang, it falls. Were feeling lucky, but I can sense bad things are going to happen. I want to head back, but they want to stay. So were making our way back, and come to large stone room.
Inside are two tough Quadav's. We cant take em both at the same time. So our Monk runs forward, and takes one of the Quadavs off. We rush forward and fight the reamaining one, killing it. But by the time we do, the Monks dead. May he rest in peace for his sacrafice.

We ran back to where he died, and took out the quadav that killed him. Now were standing above the river far below and discussing where to go next. I walk up to the edge of the metal grating, and fall off. They all laugh, but their laughs turn to shouts as a pack of three Quadavs strike the remaining party. One of the Warriors walks back, and falls down next to me. We both look up and see our Red Mage get killed.

Now our other Warrior is left to fight three Quadavs. He tries to run, but dies only a little ways into the next corridor. So now it's just me and the second Warrior, all that remains of our six man party.

We fall down to the base of the river, and I check my map. I lead him down the river to one room occupied by a Quadav. We manage to sneak by, and think were in good shape. Hooo boy were we wrong. In the next corridor, right around the bend, what do we find? Three Quadav's. All Very Tough Vets. We step back, and know we cant get through, so we plan to fight through. (Two Warriors, one level 11, one level 12, yeah right). Just as one turns the corner, I break for it.

Now, not to run mind you, but I run right past the Vet. He see's me, goes Aggro, and chases after me. Same goes for the other two down the hall. Withing seconds I have three Quadavs trailing behind me. I lead them down the hall, and into a large chamber with only 40 HP left. I know I'm gonna die, so I see there's a dead end. I lead them right to it, far away from the other corridor leading up to the exit, and wait. I sit there and the three hack me to peicies, killing me.

So I respawn, minus 280 EXP. But am I mad? No way! I /party and ask if the warriors okay. He is, and he's were the easy prey Quadavs are. A few mintues later he's back out in Nother Gustaburg, alive and well.

It's things like this that make me proud to be a warrior, sacraficing myself to save a warrior. But it's kinda funny. Out of a party of 6, only one warrior escaped that mine.

All this happened just like I said, and it reminded me alot of those Action Movies were their stuck under ground and have to escape, and like only one person does. But just something interesting to share with you guys.

That is what a warrior is supposed to do, protect.

Great work hope to hear more.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
