  • Enhancing Graphics Question

    Ok well I have FFXI downloaded but I dont have any of the

    002
    003
    004
    005
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    etc..files that I can modify for some apparent reason, I looked in the right place they are not there. But, anyway I was wandering is there I way to enhance the graphics of a 1280x780 computer screen, to make it look way better then what the default setting is? If so how? thank you in advance for your help!

    I'm not sure what you're talking about with the 00x files. There is no dat modding needed to change graphics settings. Read this.

      Registry keys are not files. If you're looking for registry keys on your hard drive, you're doing it wrong. If you are looking in the registry like you should be, try running the FFXI Config program (it's in the Start menu under the same set of folders as the game itself) first, just in case the keys didn't get created on install.

      If the reason they're missing is apparent, you ought to be able to take care of that. Or at the very least tell us what the reason is so we can make suggestions about what to do about it.

        LOL thank you, I did that last night and now they are there...that is odd that they didn't get there on install. (and Happy Halloween!)
