So I have this on my laptop at home, last night I was toying with it for the first time...I got my character model in there, had it in the gear I wanted, found an animation...so umm, how do I change the camera angle? I tried all kinds of crap, hit every button, and nothing worked. I'm trying to make myself a new sig when I get home tonight, but got sort of lost.

Re: Help, I'm too stupid to use AltanaView!
Click and drag.
I'm at work right now so I can't remember exactly, but it's something like click and drag left mouse button to rotate the camera, click and drag right mouse button to move the camera, and mouse wheel for zoom.

Re: Help, I'm too stupid to use AltanaView!
Unfortunately I'm still too retarded to use this it seems, I'm stuck on something that I'm sure is also very basic...
I have the image that I want, now if I try to save or copy it, it just saves/copies as a plain blank white image and not as the image I have...
I get here...
And then I can't do anything with the image. Anything obvious that I'm doing wrong?Callysto of RamuhCaithsith - 75 RDM / BRD / COR / PLD / WAR / SCH / DRK

Re: Help, I'm too stupid to use AltanaView!
All I can tell you is what I do:
1) Get model the way I want it.
2) Go to File (In Altana Viewer) > Save Image > Choose name and place to save it.
3) Open with your picture program. I use Photoshop CS2
4) In Photoshop CS2, I got to Select > Color Range
5) In the box that opens, make sure that the Select drop down box is on Sampled Colors and that Fuzziness is set to 0. Click the eye dropper on the background color. In the Preview box it should show your image in black and the background should be white. Click OK.
6) Now the racing dotted lines should be around the outside of the box and around the image. So go to Select and click Inverse. Now the racing dotted lines are only around your image.
7) Now go to Edit and Copy the image.
8) Now Edit > Paste it on whatever you want OR go to File > New to paste it on a transparent background alone.
I don't really understand what's happening when you are doing it so I just thought I'd post how I do it so you can see the steps I take.Originally posted by FebaBut I mean I do not mind a good looking man so long as I do not have to view his penis.Originally posted by TaskmageGod I hate my periods. Re: Help, I'm too stupid to use AltanaView!
What I do:
Get it how you want it
Hit "Print Screen"
Open (or have open) Image editing software.
Paste ("As New Image" in mine. However would be best for your program.)
Cut or Crop out everything but the background/image you want.
Use selector tool to select background (Make sure to include ALL the background, e.g., there is green between her legs and her arms/body.)
Invert your selection. (Should now have ONLY the character selected).
Copy>Paste into whatever else you're using/working with.
I think this is very similar to what TGM said, but I'm not sure on some of her steps; so, there's mine.

Re: Help, I'm too stupid to use AltanaView!
I ended up having to do the PrintScreen copypasta method, saving the image always results in a blank picture and idk why. Anyways, thanks.Callysto of RamuhCaithsith - 75 RDM / BRD / COR / PLD / WAR / SCH / DRK
