Shadow + Kirby = Ninja midget
I don't know why people found it wierd because I was being sarcastic + humourous. I have a very unique sense of humor that only a few actually get which lets me forget about all the trials I'm overcoming in pratically anything in life. For the rest of the population, what I usually do is hint at being sarcastic. So when I said I was amused by my disclaimer, that should of tipped you off. Don't worry, I'm not mentally retarded or insane though I do believe I am at times when it comes to ffxi modding though lol. After one has been exposed to me for a good while, they'll get used to it lol. I can name many friends of mine that I met in FFXI that are used to me lol.
Anyways, to reply the above poster's response, well its no big deal really
. I have only one goal when it comes to modding for any game....that is to please myself on whatever I do. If I do not like it, then it sucks. If I like it, then that is all that matters. Even though I do care a very very small % on what the public thinks, in the end, its based off if I like it lol. For me, I set up very extreme requirements for almost any mod. Usually, those extreme requirements are applied on armor/clothing, but I have very very high expectations on what I do. This is the main reason I don't release many things or even show things that I have worked on the past years to the public. Oh, I guess this is why it takes me forever to get things done.
I am only going a decent speed at this because I am not too worried about how the avatars look. In other words, I won't try to "perfect" everything and just release as is
. At some point its going to be like the net......downloading at 100MB/sec to a mere 5 kb/sec lmao. But, I'll probably get this project out of the way soon.
Ok, now that I got that out of the way (Now you see why I shouldn't reply to responses lol), time to present the next avatar. This one was truly the ***** to do.
Well, the empress decided she needed a winged ally on her side. Ramuh may have great power, but we need a ally that can move fast and swiftly. Thus, the empress created a new type of Garuda, a female human/bird like creature
granted with the powers of the empress.

Ok, now I can talk about how much I hated this one.
Ok, obviously, the easiest one for me to do is Garuda. This is because I did Garuada a long time ago. The problem was this.........laying out the textures and getting it to look good.
So let me bring this situation up. Ok, say you have a avatar, but just the model. So if you're looking at this in Max then it will be a textureless gray object. Now lets say we want to add textures to this. You'd basically have to start from scratch. That is EXACTLY how I've been doing these avatars.
You cannot just be like, "Oh well, I think I should change this color to that." Doesn't work when you starting from scratch. The goal in mind should be that your version of the avatar should look very different from the original.
So how does that relate to garuda? Garuda was a very difficult case. Sure, the wings/feathers were quite easy, but when it came to designing some kind of outfit for Garuda, that was the showstopper there. Also, the other major problem was is that when you turn garuda human, It does not look right since she has deformed legs/feet. So you will have to find some way of fixing that.
So, I went back and forth for hours and hours until I got something that looked really good (what you see above). Then I said to myself, "I am not going to keep wasting my time trying to improve this even more. I like it and I am satisfied with it." I enhanced many many things for Garuda like giving it human skin, shadows, and of course, a whole new look.
She was tough to do, but I like my end product. Now let me get on to some things that will probably come up...
-- The wings were made red because thats how I wanted things. I originally had gold wings, but after playing around with this, red should be used due to the outfit. I do not want too much of one color in other words.
-- The claws were made red because gold claws seemed a little huge and bright. I "might" put in a gold claw version when I package all the avatars together, but don't count on it. Trust me, it does not look that great.
-- Why is Garuda taking human form? Because I said so lol. Originally, I was going to go with black, but Garuda's face when black was not any good.......in fact.............it was pretty bad lol. When I did the human form, her face a hell of a lot better. This is why Garuda is what she is.
-- There is supposed to be transparency in the wings so the hq renders are off some ;P. It also shows the red parts on her stomach area being a little bright, but in game, its fine.
Hmm thats about it. Oh let me say this. My personal rating on avatars so far when it comes to difficulty. 1 then easiest and 10 the hardest.
Fenrir - 7
Shiva - 9.5
Ramuh (He was just annoying though) - 9
Garuda - 10
For me, Garuda will remain the hardest avatar to edit and design something new for her out of all avatars. Designing some kind of outfit for her is extremely difficult when compared to other avatars.
Which one do I like so far? I like them all really so its very hard to decide, but if I had to choose just one, I have to give mad props to Ramuh. He is truly one of my best creations and the pimpest of them all
. After that, its a tie between the other 3 lol.
The next avatar? Here is a clue. One of these avatars may/will be fully gold (using my gold textures). This clue might be misleading by the way as I like throwing people off. Oh yeah, don't expect it like tonight...........
