Re: Graphics converter 3 problem
Hmm, be more Specific. You can't save the alpha maps from the program to use? Or when you convert to DDS and import it back into MV its not working? Or Something else maybe?Join Us at FFXI Mod Community! A great site for support! Don't forget TuTWiki, open community Wiki. Also Every User Gets 100mb To Upload Images/Dats easily! Re: Graphics converter 3 problem
Well, thats what a Alpha Map is, White is your Solid area's and Black is your Transparent Sections. Make a Section of it black and load it back, and you should notice the texture dissapearJoin Us at FFXI Mod Community! A great site for support! Don't forget TuTWiki, open community Wiki. Re: Graphics converter 3 problem
It does, but unless there wasn't any transparency in the DDS when you saved the alpha channel. Then you just get a solid white BMPJoin Us at FFXI Mod Community! A great site for support! Re: Graphics converter 3 problem
Well, Its usually easiest to have a program where you can load in the the texture and blank file so you can have to orginal texutre to overlay and get it right how you want.
But just Simply Make sections in the BMP you saved chaning the color to Solid black, then load it into GC3 with the DDS open and it will show oyu what i ttakes away.Join Us at FFXI Mod Community! Re: Graphics converter 3 problem
When I'm making an alpha map for a texture that didn't already have one, I simply copy the original texture and paste it as a new image, then black out what I want to be transparent and fill white around those blacked out areas. Save as the correct name and presto-chango, one alpha map ready to serve. Seriously, there really isn't any need for a whole separate program.Gia - Sandy Rank 10
