  • Maybe a new way? splitting instead of clipping.

Ok this is a work in progress. trying for a new method of doing something...but it is basically like this.... doesnt solve the problem... but you can choose which problem you would like to have .... it clipping? or having it split?

ok dont shoot me... and feel free to laugh. never done anythign like this before.

I was thinking about all this clipping and how much i hate it with a dirty passion. grrrr. and how much i hate using VRS. wishing that meta could solve it. since i like meta

then i got to thinking about something else. those pads that hang off of your side! errr..... yeah.

They are got some of the weghts that you need already. to move along with the legs and your butt. ( Note: Sometimes even the SE Orginal dats clip. but this is a good starting point anyhow. )

so i tested something. actully manipulating the waist pad things and scale them out to match in with the top. so we can make long jackets, coats. and the alike.

now this will "Split" the jacket, instead of clipping. i got pictures here to show you.

First choose a armor that you would like to modify with your custom-ness. I picked this one.

(Note: I have found out that the beetle harness and bone harness works way better than this one i chose. and so does the ranger af. It seems there weight points they got have better movement in them. dunno. )

I then hit dat to MPQ, loaded up adobe. and just pasted my seifer dat into it. because i am lazy and in a hurry to see how this would turn out.saved it and went on.

Loaded it up into Meta, and you can, if your careful. select the pads and move them. I moved them. and then scaled them to make them good and flat and then molded them into the shape i wanted.
    Before:

    After Moving and editing it:

Ok I threw this one together in a hurry. a big big hurry. you can make it look alot better than what i did with more time. here is what i got in the time i did it.

Now, let me show you the Splitting.

it split like that. and really saves you on alot of clipping. now. i know this isnt an answer to anything but maybe a new alternative instead of massive clipping?

you still will get some clipping but not near as much.

When you make a mesh in VRS you can get rid of the clipping issue if you weight the vertex's right. Those issues were back clothing clip into the body and all is because at a section were that clothing part should of been weighted say 70% to lower back and instead it set 100% to the waist will cause that problem.

Basically the issue your complaining about is completly fixable through VRS, it's only a matter of someone spending the time to weight it right.

Also some clipping is intentional to create illusions. Example when one hand is holding another looking at the two hands they would not fit together right without them clipping into eachother. Just a matter of if the clipping is productive or destructive to the illusion.

Yes I know it can be fixed in VRS, but there is alot of people that dont want to learn VRS.

I know VRS Is a wonderful tool. But I stay away from it as much as i can. and some people are just able to understand meta. I thought i said that. Sorry.
