Need help with .dats

Okay, so I just downloaded the new studio that came out on the 14th. Well, I need to know how to upload the things into the viewer, etc. I am completley lost and i can't find good help online. Please help me.

The new studio? If you mean 3d Studio Max there are several tutorials around the web, the largest being on KillingIfrit. If not 3ds, then which?

Lol, don't you love it there are people that can be more vague then SE. He could mean almost anything Metasequoia, VRS, Lightwave, 3DS MAX, ...

well... i did say the one that came out on july 14th (which would have been vrs, sorry i didnt have time to look at the name at that time) but i have directx 9 and all that good stuff. i can bring the program up n such, but i am not aware how to upload any files or find the .dats to which i can edit in my ffxi folder. Sorry for being Vague ^^p lol

Goto the Tutorial in my Sig, Also, its Importing Not Uploading. Uploading is what you do to the net ^^

hehe my bad. Alright, so I looked at the tutorial. But when i try to load the whitepaper thing (not sure of the accual name, on gf's comp) or anything, it comes up with a failure to reconize file type message thing. Not sure if thats normal? I'm sorry to keep bugging you :-/

I'm not sue why that error happens. But from what I remeber it doesn't effect anything, everythign should load fine.

Try deleting the registy, delet your VRS files, Re-Extract them completely and run it again with VRS.exe. If still a problem try downloading again. from credes
