a quick question about renders using 3DSM.

Ive read the now ancient post about how to import the models and so far ive got that all down but...the issue I'm having is...how do you set up the animations so that I can put them into different poses etc? Thanks in advance.

Hmm I just do the pose on modelviewer and use the "Stop" button to pause it how I want the character to look and then you convert it, and the pose will be the same when opened in 3dsmax

If that's the case on how you are doing it, then you can get better control of the pose through VRS. Create a dummy motion object and then adjust the skeletal to move all the vertex's in the pose you want.

Once you got that pose copy the mesh object and repaste it. VRS will setup the mesh to default to that pose. Save it out then do what you need to get into 3DSM from a .dat.

ok, heres my first rendered FFXI atempt lol

(quality sucks because I had to compress it lol....picture was originally 1.2 MB, so i dropped it to medium quality 7 to post it up here). Just thought it'd be cool to make a wallpaper like this lol

ugh also had to resize it from 1280x1024 to fit this sites max upload size so it might look messed up but I only saw quality differences myself..

I don't have VRS;; nor do I have any clue on how to use it

Well it's been an easy one for me to figure out. If you do choose to use it and got any questions on it feel free to send me a message.
