Re: Resizing models
shrink as in what exactly? ...theres a lot of things that can go wrong with shrinking...mainly if you want the resized monster to move..Ive heard theres a lot of things to take into account when resizing actual moving mobs, but I havent personally tried to resize an NPC and use it as anything other than adding to a piece of armor or a weapon. If you could explain what exactly you want to resize and what you are looking to use it as, I could explain a bit more.A LMFAO production:

Re: Resizing models
just use meta and take the rectangle selection tool, make sure you dont have "front vertices only" selected and then highight the whole model. then click on the scale tool and shrink it down to the size you want. I'm not sure if it will mess anything up on the model, but hey you can always just change it back if you have a back-up ^^A LMFAO production:

Re: Resizing models
Well one way it might work is take an existing skeleton of a monster with similar shape (Mob will end up moving like the mob you took the skeleton from). In that way when you size it down and map the skeletons back it should move somewhat normal without unusual vertex movements.
So depending what size they want, Bahamut shunken down it's shape looks like it might work with a few smaller mobs that could have that kind of skeleton.
Otherwise if you want to do it with a good chance of the smallest movement errors, probably the best program that'll do it for you is VRS. When you scale up or down it adjusts the mesh's position so it's movements are still pretty acurrate.
I've done some resizing from it and the objects movements seem fine, just make sure when you scale it you scale the XYZ all the same amount or it doesn't work right.

Re: Resizing models
yeah...with that being said...would a Vrtra sized wyyvern work decently? ...if so, anyone want to have a try at it? I know theres already a vrtra SKINNED wyyvern out there but..it would be a lot cooler to have all the spiked parts, and head model etc etc on it ^^A LMFAO production:

Re: Resizing models
At the Vrtra wyvern comment, yes.
Check my filefront, hosted.filefront.com/feba, and download the WyvernSwap video or w/e. Picture of Ouryu in East Saru >_>
Problem with it is, the model will get in the way of your camera. A lot. as in, usually you're seeing dragon guts. I'd advise against it, if you're the Dragoon anyway.
