Hi

i want to change my equipment's look in game like having wings or change hair style, would someone please redirect me to a Guide or tutorials? because i searched and i'm kinda confused.

Basic of DAT Switching:

1. What is DAT Switching?
   You choose one original DAT in your FFXI installation folders and replace it with another DAT.
   
2. How can i find the DAT i want ot change?
   You can use the Modelviewer. Change the equipment until you have all on your
   Char that you are currently wearing ingame. Left of each Equipmentpart
   in the Viewer stands a Number.
   
3. What does this number mean?
   Example: 1-54-67
   1 = ROM
   54 = Folder 54
   67 = 67.DAT
   or like ...\Playonline\SquareEnix\FinalFantasy\ROM\54\67.DAT <-- Thats the Mithra Onion Club btw.
   Now you know the location and name of the DAT you want o change.
   
4. How can I bring my custom DAT into the game?
   Make a backup of the original DAT and copy your custom DAT to that folder.
   Now rename your custom DATs name to the exact name as the original DAT.

These are the basics.

is there someone who can make me a copy of Folder:ROM Folder:28 DAT:28 it's the "Doublet"

i didn't backup my file and i just replaced it now my file is gone ; ;





Isn't there a thread that tells you how to do this STEP bY STEP?
because honestly i don't understand how this works, backups/mods/folders. yes you can say that i'm stupid but honestly i can't do it.

Best buch of guides you can find.

As for my Program Its all Straight Forward.

You just select the mod you want. And where you want to Place it.

And then Click Copy Files.

It Copies it and Backs up the orginal all for you.

To restore the backup Just Click restore Backups and the one you want to restore.
