found out how to view toau files

well i cant seem to find any toau dat files in the model viewer, any1 knows how to update the model viewer to view cop equip and toau equip?

hmm but isnt that only npc list? i tried it earlier but all the equip is the same

you also have to change where modelviewer is looking.

It looks by default at /rom3

need to change that to /rom4 to view the ToAU npcs

new equipment is always in ROM so that people without the expansion can see it as well, the new equipment on the new list is at the bottom of the equipment list.

I never got that thing to work.

Not sure what I did wrong, but I can't really see any ToAU monsters at all. (Wanted to change the puppet)


I'm 99% sure I downloaded the newest list and set the rom to 4.

found out how to view toau files

ok i found out how to view toau files, u have to download the dat changer frm this link http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/dat...ger.v0.3b.html
,and when u open it with winrar, u will see dat changer, List folder.
take the list folder and replace the current list folder in ur model viewer folder but be sure to make back up and if u hav any questions juz ask

So.... Basicly if your taking the lists from my Dat Change. It means you didn't actually update the Lists, or you didn't do it right The files in my Dat Changer came from Phabian's last updated list. Just modified to remove the comments.

Right at top of phabian's page there is this..

April 12/17th Patch

Current List Files: List-4-12_17-06.zip (Updated: 5-07-06)

Download that.

And then Place it in the MV folder. You shouldn't have to change your Settings Rom3 shoudl still be rom 3, as with the default to the root FFXI instalation. I didn't have to change any settings from mine for it to work. Because actually all the Player armor is located in rom 1. While NPC's Etc are in rom 4

I have MV 1.0 english, and that exact same file List-4-12_17-06.zip unpacked into the MV directory and can't see any new models. Not CoP, and not ToAU.

Message in the status window says this for a CoP NPC.

The file F:\Games\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ROM2\0\61.dat could not be found.


I think I see the error right now though.... It is on C:

Now, why would FFXI + RoZ work... that is a mystery.

Anyway, Fixing that obvious error, and changing it to ROM4 in the ini fixed my problems.

make sure the .ini files are correct too. Since the error sounds like it's a pathing issue, you'll want to check out any paths to locations it provides. Usually pathing info is placed in a .ini file.

Folye hasn't done any updates in a long time. Its been Phabian, Likely if he chooses so Phabian will possibley host from my site. I only briefly talked wiht him about it. But hopeflly when i get back from CA I can see about getting this done soon.
