    Be aware that it's not just the skeletal bindings that need to be changed, but also the master container. While skeletal dependencies are inherited from vertexes, the table of which animations to reference is inherited from that master black box.

      Well I dunno about in game... but it does work for the weapon skills... however when I view battle motions it doesn't work...
      VRS, it's like shoving an apple down a baby's throat.

        Right. If you look at the table of actions in the battle menu, they are named the same, but move differently. Weaponskills are unique, and not bound to a particular weapon for animating. If done incorrectly, it causes them to move along the path for the original weapon, regardless of what it is currently, such as wielding swords as if they were knuckles. Not a very difficult problem to fix, at any rate, and one that's documented in the archives somewhere.
