Xbox/PS2 swap, Help;;

Hey all, I really like all your work! Mainly the Mithra head .dats. Nice change for me, having the same model for 2 years and all. I just recently got this game for xbox 360, and I have been told its possible to swap .dat files on it. Does anybody know how to do this? If not, does anyone know if its possible to on PS2 as well? I have also been told PS2 is able. Please explain if you know what to do >< Would *really* appreciate it ; ;

Swapping .dats on the PS2 is very difficult and takes a good knowledge of computers. I'm sure that someone has or is in the process of doing it for the 360 also but I think that it would be just as difficult. I haven't heard anything about it yet but if I come across something I'll make sure I post it.

LOL Well thank god for friends! If its something I can't figure out (damn old brain!) I always bug my son. Which is a good idea cause he frequents a lot of 360 forums so I'll have him check around there too to see if anyone has been messing around with .dats.

Just before posting this, I hooked up my PS2's HDD to my PC to see what I could do. I can say for sure, unless someone released a program making it possible, that it is impossible to do any .dat for PS2 and the same would probably go for the 360.

Windows is unable to even browse the HDD, and it reads as "unallocated" space in the disk management menu. I even tried WinHIIP, and it can't do anything with FFXI's data.

From what I've read, a linux partition is needed; Windows can't see the files.

Aside from difficulties in the installation process however, this can be relatively cost-free; Many builds of Linux are freely available for download from the internets.
