Drg AF request.

I'm looking for help with a Black/Red scheme. Hume/Male *Much like Hitena's Crimson DRG AF*
Black leather with Bright/Dark Red plate. (I'm thinking fairly bright red, but open to any)

I've looked around alot, found Green, Blue, Teal, Aqua, but no Red.

bright red? ... that would look wierd since the outfit reflects so much. I'd throw one together similar to my jade dragoon gear but... since Im not on my home PC I dont have all the files together, but if I did. Since I save all the pics with layers, that would take only 5 minutes to recolor.

if I was at my PC, that would be easy but...um... I dunno about red and BLACK ... I noticed the black makes it lose detail a lot. Mostly along the edges, etc...Just what Ive noticed. Maybe a brighter red, with darker black WOULD be better, even though I think bright red would look strange in FFXI?. I'm a gold/silver person when using dark colors, that way it still keeps details looking sharp, I dunno.

Thats why I liked the mod shown, they didn't go completely black with the leather, it's more of a dark grey with red tint. If they had gone strait black it would have looked bad.

As I said earlier, I'm open on it, if it looks good I'll try it out. Feel free to put your own spin on it.

well... if I make it it wont be untill tonight, since I'm not at my house. most likely it will look like my jade dragoon, but dark red...just to keep it from being another giant project.. I already have a lot of things Im making already lol.

Hows this? The helm was a pain to get to match the gear so... if it looks slightly off, thats why. Hope this is what you were looking for, I basically just recolored my jade gear since I added aso many things to it, I didnt want this one to look lame seeing as how I dont have the time to put all the effort into these as I did on my old projects. Anyways heres the pics, and the .dat, hope this is what you were looking for.

I like the way the Helm turned out. More of the look I was going for. The amount of detail is amazing. I think the gold is abit flashy tho, kinda clashes with the deep red.

Hate to ask more of you, but is it possible to recolor the gold to match the boots from the orig. pic?

well, it sounds like you want EXACTLY what is shown in that pic no? ...why not just use that gear? Im confused....

The boots I like, I'd use it, but will the Elvaan DATs work for Hume?

no the elvaan dats dont work for hume but you can just take the whole bmp and copy it to hume males bmp...one of the few that you CAN just change it like that.

If you want that exact outfit for hume male just put it into the elvan outfits, then convert to MQO, load up each bmp into photoshop, duplicate layer, and copy that whole layer onto the bmp that you want. its way easy and takes maybe 5 minutes, I just hate having to do that all the time thats all....although you'll have to take the helm I gave you off... I added fangs to it, and realigned the whole thing to look more like a wyyvern head so... the colors will look off.
