  • VRS uh oh...

Okay... so I saved a file in vrs a weapon that is... and I had moved it from the default position at the feet on the ground etc...

How can I fix this? are there co-ordinates for the right position someone can give me?

    help ; ;

    lmao...

In other words, it's not at the ground anymore, it's sitting "through" your character?

No, you cannot fix this besides overwriting the VRS .DAT with the original one.

But I have good news for you!

Besides saving a bunch of money on car insurance, VRS saves a backup of the original .DAT inside the original folder.

It should be titled ###org.DAT. Just delete the VRS .DAT, then remove the "org" from the backup file name.

you sure? ..... I fixed mine by just putting the weapon where the original one was using meta.... whereever you put it in meta... is where it will be. I just got mine as close to the original one as I could and it worked...unless I dont understand the question. (mine was in the middle of the character when I first made my sword with the skull, then I just used meta and put it at the bottom and tweaked it untill it fit...or use VRS to readjust the weapon back to where you need it, and resave. that might work too.

I would almost concede to you, except for the fact that I'm guessing she did exactly what I'm thinking.

Because not only does it change the position of the Weapon in "stand" mode, but it also messes up the Weapon Motions when you try to use it. In other words, during the Attack Actions, it would still stay impaled on her, rather than moving into "Holding" position.

If that's not the case, then she should prolly try what u saided.

okay what happens is when in model viewer during motions it moves like normal... but it happens to be floating about a lil ways from the character... my idea to fix this is to load it into VRS and then load the original and make it overlap it perfectly then delete the original... should change it back to normal position... I'll let you know how it works

Sigh.... tried it, didn't work, gonna have to go with Potent potables idea just have to remake the whole thing I gues... sigh

thanks for the suggestions help and response everyone

              Double Post Edited:
Well.... I have a problem... What I'm doing is loading two of the great axe bhuj's into VRS then moving one of them a bit and saving that.

then I put it into meta and get rid of the haft of the moved one and basically flip the blade over and pop it on the back of the original one.

problem is that when I load it up it does what potent said my problem was... it just sits there... in the middle of the chest...

              any ideas?

sorry, I dont know. I'd have to try it myself to see what the problem is, Ive never had that happen yet. are you setting the weight for the other weapon?if not, Maybe thats why it just sits there?

Could be... but then wouldn't half the weapon still work?

but even then... shouldn't the other parts work?

This is pretty much what you call, live and learn. There's no easy way to fix that like potent stated, you just have to accept it and redo most of the work. I just had to go through the same thing not more than an hour ago, I had to import everything over again, and now that i'm done, i'm seeing something else wrong. There's no way to fix it, so I'm gonna have to re-import at least that part again. If possible.

                          Yes, you can fix this.

Instead of loading the weapon by itself, though, you have to load it with the Character Model.

When you load a weapon by itself, you're loading something that relies on external Skeletal Points to move properly. In other words, it doesn't move X amount of spaces through the air on its own, it moves X amount of spaces attached to the hand.

Try loading up and entire PC Model, BUT, and I stress BUT, only save the Weapon Model. You'll still have to start over, but when you Export, it should work again.
