Judging by the amount of artifacts, that one's from MSpaint. IIRC MSpaint doesn't do .gif
Although personally I'm partial to .png, if only MS would properly F'ing support the transparency in .png [like Firefox] we could all have wicked looking semi-transparent images and sigs.
ie.
try looking at this in IE and you see an ugly BG and outline, but if firefox it all blends nicely with and background it's placed on.
For now on i going to post all my armor in 3d max after i done maken it. I even made planns to even most some of this on some where when i make the armor and tell you what part it is lol

I did not give permission for the topic starter to copy my guide, they did not try to contact me in anyway to ask for permission or tell me they had copied it. Nor did I want it to be copied onto this forum, so I am requesting that this thread be deleted. If you'd like to use my guide, ask my permission, if you'd like it to appear on a forum, I must post the topic. Otherwise I cannot update all of them when I do update.
All i can say is this guide did that help me much, i had to look on a JP site how to make the shadows. All i can say is this was writen for 3d max 7 not for 3d max 8. But it all good. Here some of my work soo far.
You can see my elvaan haten butt so i use this to see how it looks when i stabbing a elvaan male PLD lol
Well thats kinda sad There was absolutely no reason for him to request for this to be removed. He still retained full credit none was take away, also there was a link to the orginal post. At the very least this was a compliment to him on his work well done. So if he can't take a compliment thats fine we dont' need him.

Why not just delete the whole thread - seeing as the questions have been answered and the rest doesnt make sense unless you know what the original thread was about.

You posted this guide on a public forum, it's public domain now like it or not. You were given credit for it as it should have been.
Actually, both U.S. Copyright law and the Berne Convention (IIRC) stipulate that copyright is held on any original work you publish (so long as basic criteria is met), so claiming that the work is in the public domain simply because it was noncommercially published is inappropriate.
As for anyone who feels stuck w/ MS Paint for not having photoshop, do check The GIMP, a free software utility that provides some of the advanced image editing features of photoshop. It's slightly more hassle for Windows users because you have two programs to install (GTK+ runtime as well as GIMP) but it's not a big deal. (GTK+ is more or less standard now on GNU/Linux, where GIMP is most commonly used.)
There's a third-party plugin for the GIMP to handle .dds, but I have not yet managed to get it to work, so... It's quite possible to recomposite the .bmp and GC3's alpha .bmp into an image w/ transparency in the GIMP, though. (gotta go, more on this later)
I'll post the guide on this thread (or a new thread) if you guys really want. It just makes it easier for me when I know everywhere the guide is. That way I can keep it update and answer questions posted on the topic. I was given some advice to report it to, my friend said the topic poster was just looking for "rate ups" by posting it. Not too concerned about that though. I know that the person gave me credit, but it's not about credit. Anywho, sorry to anyone who was using the guide, I know KI sucks at load times.
