  • A challenge

So I was wondering if anyone was up to the challenge of somehow converting the elvaan male crossbow shoot motion to hume male, no idea if this is possible but it would be nice if someone would try... I have tried messing with motions and I'm rubbish at it...
VRS, it's like shoving an apple down a baby's throat.

While theres been luck mixing animations around, its never been cross race. You can take Elvaan NPC animations and put them on PC because they share the same basic skeleton file. Unfortunately, any two races have very different skeleton files. Because of this, no amount of hex editing can copy animations over.

When the next version of VRS comes out in English, we should be able to do this. That version allows animation editing. Until then, I believe you are out of luck. Sorry.

Would that say that a mithra PC could get all the mithra NPC motions? I would love to have the animation of the boneguild mithra stretching her tail on my mithra PC
One Windurst to rule them all
One Windurst to conquer the others
One Windurst to find the others
        And in mithraness bind them

Yeah, you can get all the NPC motions onto PC characters is you'd like. The only downside is that the NPCs 99% of the time lack a weapon. That means when you copy their animations onto PC, your weapon no longer hangs by your side. Instead, it sits between your feet like it does in the model viewer.

Example: On the left is my character with a modified idle stance from one of the NPCs, on the right is the old one.

See how the weapon floats between you feet? It can look kinda odd in-game. But thats the only downside to it. If your interested, there was a post made a while ago that had a good tutorial on how to swap animations: How To: Swapping Animations
