Dat File Problem ( Nifty Status Icons )

Has anyone noticed yet .... But ... after the update ... the Icons got switched back..... So .. lucky I had a backup of the ones I had previous..... So ok ... I have alittle group of people and my ninja friend says he cant cancel Utsusemi ichi ... or ni ... big ninja tanking prolbem .. so i go to cancel my protect cant do it ... Anyone have any idea of whats goin on .. or whats wrong? Mabe theres a new set of icons that have been updated that I dont know about ... I searched the site but came to no avail.. Anyone else having his problem?

SE added new icons for the effects from the new Jobs (COH's dice roll icon showing in the updates notes is one) so it's likely that the offsets for that file have been changed. Instead of cancleing protect you could have been trying to cancle signet (stupid example but you get what I mean). I'v posted a comment on the 2 people's livejournals that developed the icons. Hopeing they fix this, cause I really cant live with refresh looking the same as regen.

I haven't changed icons since update, no problems here.

Problem is useing the "Nifty status icons" Makes you not able to cancel them x.x

Mabe somone has a fix ... Hopefully soon ... Alot of things are broken .. WAY TO GO SE!!! grrr -.-

Mainly SE keep changing everything around. I still having problem about this as well so i just gone with my backup.

Ya, SE pulled a number on the *CENSORED FOR FEAR OF ADMIN AGGRO* that 90% of the FFXI community that plays on the computer uses.
Nothing to do but to wait for fixes from the programs devs.

The only thing that is wrong is that SE made you download clean .DAT's because they made changes / additions to them. If you were to try to restore your .DAT using an old version, then there would be issues, such as the ones we are having now.

Geez, you really shouldn't blame SE for their actions ruining something that is a 3rd Source!!

This is another reason that justifies slapping in the content of 3rd party programs (including 3rd party source data) should be illegal. You know for each person that complained about this being a problem you can be sure SE likely heard it from some people too when the problem you incured never was or ever should be something that SE has to care about.

You want to play with 3rd party stuff you better expect it to break or it to break you every once in a while.
