Sorry dude, I wasn't trying to be a jerk about it. I wouldn't have posted the .DAT if I was. ; ; I was just very pissed off about the whole subject at hand at the time of posting. Don't worry dude, you weren't getting flamed for wanting the .DAT or anything, I was just expressing my opinion on how wrong and stupid I think it is. Anyways, don't feel you shouldn't come back here for fear of getting flammed for a request, because that never happens.

Don't worry dude, you weren't getting flamed for wanting the .DAT or anything, I was just expressing my opinion on how wrong and stupid I think that cultural tendency is.

For the record, I am not a homophobe or anything like that and I don't like the original war AF, either. It's not that I have a problem with the exposed skin in itself, it just doesn't look good the way it's done. That, and as armor it's stupid to expose your midriff. The covered-up version has a more consistent color scheme, and looks like it could actually protect you from attack.

I think there's a discussion to be had about compositional elements of male and female bodies and how one lends itself more to strategic exposure, but my coffee hasn't taken hold yet and I don't have the wherewithal to pursue that. Any arguement I made to the effect could probably be defeated by pointing out my clear bias to the female body, anyway.

But I do see where you're coming from about being unhappy with the cultural double standard.

I always though that the war AF1 looked kinda dumb even on female characters
youd think that gear that was meant for taking a few hits wouldnt expose to much

eh.. < 75 war... i think the designs on the redone one are nice. like a redone relic gear with AF colors, the boots imo are much nicer, gloves too,

i think the legs and body would match it well, though i think covering the shoulders was way over kill lol, i mean seriously, if you cant deal with shoulder skin bare.. god help you

the open waist never bothered me much, legs either, to me it seems acually more logical that you would need *some* ventalation lol

besides, your shouldnt be taking hits, utusemi ftw >.>

oh yea, so anyone mind taking the black off the shoulders? XD

My thought on the exposed parts of the WAR AF was that, while it does leave some vunerable spots, it allows the wearer to be more flexible in combat, for both offense and defense.

i personally think the original WAr AF was goin for a more gladatorial feel. Kinna Greek in design.

That being said, it looks like all the enemy would need to do to win is stand on your exposed toes.
