Ah! Such beautiful wings! Such splender and grace! What a shame that I am unable to play FFXI as of now, as this treasure would be held so dearly to my heart...
P.S., make white wings that would match pld AF for mithra.
Double Post Edited:
if you take that extra 60k of code from the bottom of the wings you hack off to make them stop glowing, and add it to a sword or something will the sword glow?

I've tried it, it doesn't work. I've even narrowed down what specifically causes it to glow, but moving it around between models doesn't work. It either doesn't glow or crashes FFXI depending on where you put it.

If you can find the original wings zip, I believe it's in one of the sticky threads or just go to my website: http://www.benway.com/vagrants/
that file has the wings for every race in it. It also has the wings non glowing for mithra and humeF.
Also, to answer Kidria's question, pretty much, yes. If you export them from the modelviewer, there are two dds files there. One is the blue wing, the other is the red. If you want both wings the same color you just need to copy one of the two dds files over the other and import back to FFXI.
To get rid of the glow, open up the file with a hex editor and delete all the code from run0 to the end on the last line. You have to keep the final line in the code there, though. If you've been curious how I've been doing this so quickly, it's because that's really all that's involved in it
