After working with the Dante jacket. I looked at it and thought that I could make a good squall jacket with it. since FF8 was my fav Final fantasy i decided to give it another shot, if you all remember my first one i used The terry jacket to work off of and was asked to remove it for download, this time this one is from scratch. for the ones that download it, enjoy.

The jacket is kinda cutting into the neck, but otherwise it looks pretty good. Maybe we could use a Gackt-type head style so we can all look like squall! ^_^

Whole thing is amazing when compared to a lot of work by others, and even on its' own, but you should fix it up a bit so that the whole head/neck blends in with the body, and doesn't look like it's the top of a Pez container. Basically make the skin tone match it, and cut some of the fur collar off, so that it doesn't go through the neck.

Also it would be great if he had those butt-strap-belts that crisscrossed on his legs. Those were really cool. And the necklace too.

To tell you the truth, I won't do the belts that cross over. this is best i can do with the belts is what you see. I don't use VRS, I don't understand it, I have messed around with it. maybe when he releases it total english. maybe. if that wasn't a april fools joke. but i can;t do the belts criss cross with meta. so this , for now, is the best i can do. so I don't plan to do the belts or the necklace for that matter, it would be too flat if i added it in. Sorry that some of you don't like it, but like i said before in one post. if you don't like it. you don't got to download and sorry to be rude but it is as simple as that , untill i get better, this is a finished project, exept for the collar cutting into his neck, which i will fix. but other than that. this is finished.

Okay FINALLY someone made something cool enough for me to actually get back into modding.....for now I hope you don't mind lostcross but I decided to slightly alter your squall set. I wont post it unless its cool with you though so let me know. I made the jacket slightly longer as in my poster it looks JUST above the belt lines, I made it less green tinted (looked greenish to me) I also added the pendant, and yeah I know... its MIRRORED.. but I have a perfect pic of one that works well with it if someone who uses VRS would like the full pendant piece to change the mirror issue. on the pants I made the straps brown since they were brown in the game, and as with the jackey.. it looked slightly greenish tinted. Only spend about 10 minutes on them so the colors arent perfect or anything, but they look slightly better IMO. Lostcross let me know whatcha think, I wont post it unless its cool with the original author so no worries.
Also on the body I very slightly darkened the skin color, and also made the shirt a tiny bit lighter....oh and I put boots and gloves that should look pretty cool with the outfit once modded. I didnt touch those parts at all.
Also noticed theres parts pop out when you rest or harvest from the back of the body piece, but didnt have time to fix that.

I don't care at all if you edit it. I am glad you liked it in the first place. as long as you give me some credit you can post it where ever you want.

the reason i didn't add the necklace in the first place, is because looks flat and mirrored , i never noticed the green tint in the jacket, but it might just be my monitor.and i personally liked his jacket that short, but everyone has their own likes and dislikes.

There ya go. I used a small overlay to ensure good resolution on the pendant. I also took a look at the clipping problems you mentioned protruding from the body, they should be fixed now as well.

I don't like it. but i am sure others will. the chain looks like it is pressed into him and the pendant looks like it is just glued to his shirt, another reason why i didn't even want to try to make any necklace with it, Even if i knew how to add another layer into the model I wouldn't of messed with it. I don't know why so many people has to be so phinky about models sometimes. its missing this or that, color should be deeper, last time i looked at it. we didn't get paid to do this, this isn't our job, do it for fun. I think people should just enjoy what they can get sometimes, instead of pushing it deeper and deeper, till it seems that it actully starts getting in the way of some things, This is just how i think, so if you all get uppity and I get some Private messages sbout it so be it, but everytime someone posts something, ( not just me ) and it is actully pretty awesome, people will always find something that should be in it. why not just be happy with it? I started Making models for me, and only me, but i will let others down load them, if it makes me happy then it wins. I didn't make it for everybody.


Don't get me wrong, I am not saying this just because of this post or any of my other posts, I am just saying this because I see it all the time, And i understand about people giving tips and what not. and i will give you the dat when asked for and you can even edit it as long as you give me the credit i deserve.


My point of all of this is, why can't some people just be happy with what they get? I made a squall jacket because as much as I know, there isn't any out there. Even let people download it, but still I hear things , well this is wrong or blah blah blah, I made it for me, released it so others could have, didn't make it for the public, if it makes me happy then it is done. Instead of people putting in all their input, download it, because I put it up for download, then edit it yourself, make yourself happy instead of wanting someone else to do it for you. because I don't do that. I even made a post a while back talking about this, and even said I was going to stop even releasing them. but i still released them because i figured it would make some people happy to get it. I am not pointing fingers or even trying to start an argument. If you all like, if this post made alot of people angry, I will leave and goto another forum.

I considered this before I started working on it, and determined that since you had given the OK for him to modify it, and what he was attempting, what he was aiming for was acceptable. I helped him get it the way he wanted it- since you didn't seem to have a problem with what he did, I took pains to avoid deviating from what he did with the exception of the pendant. However, this is your work, and if you want it gone, say the word and it will be.
