  • Anyone uses EwhModel?

I cannot seem to get this to work.. it gives me a japanese error that is something like:

    %$&(#%&*#$%Direct3D%$#%*(#$%_

This is on the PC running FFXI.

I tried running it on my laptop, and it just crashes... so .. anyone?^^

I'm almost positive that whatever website you found the link to this download at probably had proper instructions on what exactly you're supposed to do after downloading it... But nevertheless, I'm guessing that your problem is that you didn't unzip in the FINAL FANTASY XI folder. Unlike the FFXI Model viewer, this application is very simple and does not do anything outside of letting you view areas, there's not even any kind of mouse interface with the program. So due to EWH Model's simple nature, it is not even programmed to look for the FINAL FANTASY XI folder in a default location, the application itself must be in the same folder that the folders which contain the game's various DAT files. So either unzip the compressed files in the FINAL FANTASY XI folder, or just move just move the contents of the file, which you already unzipped elsewhere, to the folder.

        Re: Anyone uses EwhModel?

It's a japanese program, i can't -understand- the instructiosn. I did unzip it to the folder, it didnt make a difference.. in fact, it seems to use the PlayOnline\InstallFolder registry key to tell it where FFXI is...

Anyways, it is a Direct3D error with a buncha japanese, I have no idea what it's saying.

I've tried placing the program just about everywhere and it still gives me an error and won't open. Is there a newer version available or just the one?
