Wooh..........................I thought I never get done with this............
Once again, another piece of my FF7 project I'm working on.
So, I dont know what occured, but for some reason, I wanted to tune up my Sephy head model and start work on the outfit again.
Took about...................8 hours I guess to get to this stage. With the power of VRS and Meta, I give you Sephiroth's outfit for FFXI . I never thought I would ever get to this point with Sephiroth's Outfit since I hit a road block when trying to do it previous weeks ago. Somehow, I was able to do it again by taking the original draft I did 2 years ago and just do a major overhaul on it. 4 things though.
1. I messed up the hq renders pretty bad lol. i did not feel like fixing certain parts so it looks normal (I am sure you will notice). Yeah, after 8 hours, I think anyone forget this...
2. I failed at making black glossy textures so I just made everything black for the time being. Its very hard to get good looking black textures in FFXI and I have yet to resolve this for so many years. The shoulder plates and his chest area are done though. So I shouldn't hear the "I would like to see more textures" line after I told you I failed in the first place.
3. The bottom part has very good motion. I made sure that the bottom part was as realistic as possible thus is why it took so long to do. You will never see any one else who has tried to make a Sephy mod as close as mine 1:1 model wise on that part. I guess I'll show a video in the future since this is going to be a while before I even think about releasing a beta of it.
4. I did a mix of the AC + original ff7 look. More AC than ff7 though. It doesn't show until the final draft I guess. For now, its just a WIP.
Status Report
- Just look on my forums for that. The overall goal was to get the models done which was successful.
I also did my version of Kadja's katanas for Sephy since I am a nin after all . I would release the Katanas because I have a pair for HM and HF, but it is not my work. Stormgarde did the original and I redesigned it. He prolly doesn't mind, but I don't feel like getting permission to release so I will keep to myself . If ya want, just send pm.
Bugs/Problems?
About 10 I guess. 1 is fatal and I cannot fix it. Infact, no one can fix it. It is due to what I did. I did something that was a little insane to make that bottom part flow (have motion) like its supposed to. Some new trick I did in VRS and Meta lol.
Final draft sometime in like the coming weeks (I'm guessing spring break which is March 5th for me). It will have the finished black textures along with some other fixes. Will prolly give out a beta to fellow modders who contribute to the community and have mods up on my site when I do get the bugs situated out and I have actual black textures. Otherwise, I keep to myself and my guild .
