  • Enemy elementals -> avatars

Excuse me, I would like to know which .dats got for enemy pet elementals, because I want enemy elementals to look like avatars, but not natural elementals (there are several different .dats for elementals in the view, I don't know which goes for what).

Help would be greatly appreciated ^^

all elementals are the same .dat, there aren't separate ones for NPCs and PCs, a yag fire elemental is the same file as a summoner's fire elemental

nonono, I meant just change pet elementals, not ones that are their own selves, like have a earth elemental still be the same yet the Yagudo Oracle's earth elemental looks like a Titan, ect.

Thing is there are many .dats for elementals, I want to be sure I alter the right one =x

I think he was trying to tell you it can't be done because they share the same file.

but why would there be multiple .dats for them then? 1-97-61 is an earth elemental, as is 1-5-74 =/

If you look, the other elementals around the 1-97 one don't show up >_> i think those are just like...stages of elemental. The ones you summon and the ones mobs have as pets are the same as player's, I'm like 98% sure on this >_>

yes, but I have no idea which .dat set I would have to alter to make them look like avatars

alright, if you want to change the elementals, it'll change ALL of them, including player summoned ones and mob summoned ones and wild elementals...

last time i'm saying it >_>

I realised that, I was asking which set of elemental .dats is the real one I have to change.

                      here is a thought....
                      TRIAL and ERROR.

pick one and change it, see if it worked the way you wanted it to.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that pet elementals and wild elementals DO have different dat files. In the model viewer I have, you can't see any of them except the core of the earth elemental, most likely because the viewer doesn't show the pretty particle effects, my evidence is this:
A wild Light Elemental has these tiny orbiting pinpoints of light, visible in the piccy below. The self-summoned kind do not have those pinpoints of light.
                        Attached Files

wow, way to dredge up the past, if they do have different files then all there is to do is trial and error, you can't see effects in the model viewer

and the reason only the earth elemental shows is because the others are all transparent to a degree and so it's considered more of an effect, the earth elemental is the only one that has solid figures

hmmm, perhaps the one near the pet avatar .dats are the ones that are pets?
